Hyun-Jin Ryu: Great Run

One bad thing of cutting the cable is that I need to find an alternative or walk out from home to watch any big game which is only visible thru cable. The worst of this game, NLCS game 3 was on Monday where bar was crowded and loud on Monday Night Football. 🙂

Anyhow, finally scrambled to watch Ryu’s “happen to be his last game of the season afterward” via big screen at the bar with full crowd of football fans.

What a great year for Ryu who blewed off all the question marks imposed on him when he first came here.

LA에 와서 이거 안먹고 가면 간첩이라는 이야기를 하도 많이 들어서 들린 백정.. 아니 정확하게는 문열기를 기다려 열자마자 들어가 점심부터 고기 한판 구워 주신 백정..

정.말. 맛있다!! 시애틀에 들어왔으면 하는 list에 추가….ㅋ

Heard about this restaurant so many times from so many folks so decided to give it a try on here..

AWESOME! One of the thing I hope to have in Seattle….

Universal Studios Hollywood: Studio Tour, Blues Brothers, & Waterworld

Studio Tour는 3D까지 가세해서 재미있게  upgrade되었으나 문화체험의 한계(?) 답게 미국 컨텐츠를 잘 모르는 사람은 별 감흥없는 수준이었다.. (나도 영화나 알지 드라마는 그닥 많이 보질 않아서…) (예, 외국인에게 여기는 전원일기에 일용이네 집 세트에요 설명하기) King Kong 3D는 잘 만들어 주셨음..

근데 다른건 좀…너무하다.. 블루스 브라더스야 classical한 케릭터이니 그렇다 치자..  Waterworld는 좀 너무하지 않냐? 그닥 성공하지도 않은 영화.. 소재가 특이하기로 소니 아직도 욹어먹는다는 느낌 팍팍.. 더구나  Waterworld 내용을 모르는 젊은 세대들은 이게 뭐야 하고 볼듯….당최 언제적 Waterworld냐고요..

Studio Tram Tour got a nice upgrade (3D) so still valuable experience. But Waterworld is still the same as it was like 20 years ago – wondered how many of the folks watched this know what the movie was… 🙂
