Day 1 of driving to Southern California to pick up our college kid. All the way from Bellevue to Chico, California via I-405, I-5, and CA-99 for 1st leg of this trip
This time I booked two hotels and the first one was inside of Paris – so ended up taking RER subways to get to Paris’ Lyon station from Airport.
Old building based hotel inside of historic city was fun ๐ The floor was cracking with every steps I make and little sound proofings across the rooms made me hear the conversations from next room’s loud Americans ๐ and also was able to experience the cage elevator for the first time ๐
After a quick nap/faint, walked out with hungry stomach to Bastille plaza to hunt for dinner
After grate resting from lounge, took a BA flight to London. This was actually a reverse of last trip where I took BA to arrive at Seattle..
As usual, good plane & good seat with not terrible and not great food (especially after great foods from lounge) and fun intro video.
The best of flying with BA is actually going thru London Heathrow- although it is crazy crowded and busy, you never get lost and always find directions on where to go ๐
During my stay at Detroit, had a chance to drive around the city with Jeep Compass Trailhawk..
As a Compass Limited driver I have always wondered the difference between these two, but not much difference…Next time I will pickup Trailhawk which has slightly better beauty…
