세상이 engineering 세상인데 공대/북쪽 캠퍼스도 보여주려고 손님들을 모시고 나의 추억도 약간 묻어 있는곳도 투어..

발음하기도 힘든 Duderstadt Center 여긴 24시간 하는 도서관이 있던 곳이라 가끔 보니스틸에 간다고 찾아갔던곳… (자정 넘어에는 한국어가 제2 공용어이던 신기했던 곳..ㅎㅎㅎ)

Bonisteel Blvd – although I never took any classes or spend serious times in here- I remember I rushed into here at some midnights when I was facing challenging deadlines from classes – where Korean becomes unofficial language after midnight. 🙂

Zingerman’s Delicatessen – Maybe the most well known place in Ann Arbor outside of University area – One bite of Ruben brought me a peace in mind

Zingerman’s Delicatessen…. 자주오지는 못했지만 이거 얼마나 그리웠는지…:) 루벤 한조각 입에 베어무는데 행복이 느껴졌다…. 뭐니뭐니해도 MBA시절 corporate presentation이 있으면 catering을 Zingerman’s 에서 하는지 안하는지를 확인했던 기억..ㅎㅎ

Now my little one and his friend – State of Washington boys – knows why we have a weird wifi name of ross2007 🙂

본향이랍시고 찾았지만 그대로 있는건 이 complex의 한가운데 있는 나무 한그루.. 🙂 졸업식 끝나고 여기서 모여서 사진찍었던 기억….

꼬맹이군 친구는 우리집 wifi name이 왜 ross2007인지 알게 되었다..ㅎㅎ

US23 to Ann Arbor

Interlochen에서 밤늦게 나온 후 소싯적 뻔질나게 분유와 물사러 다니던 Costco가 있는 Brighton에서 하룻밤을 보내고 난 다음날 아침… 날씨는 우중충했지만 정말 친숙했던 이름들의 도시와 길을 향해 진입… 여기부턴 GPS도 필요 없었다..

얼마만에 들어보는 이름인지… 추억의 The Ride도 보였다….ㅎㅎ

After departing from Interlochen, new day started from Brighton – Despite gloomy weather, every names on plates were too familiar and I turned off the GPS.

새 TV로 이것저것 살펴보다보니 Michigan농구를 중계중이었는데… 하워드 3부자가 학교 농구 프로그램을 끌고 있었다..ㅎㅎ

Domino’s Early Pizza Box

주문한 피자가 다 되지 않아 잠깐기다리는 동안 가게안에서 두리번하다가 Dominio’s 매장에 전시되어 있는 옛날 Pizza Box 감상… 뭐 난 박스보다 주소가 참 정겹네….

언제 한번 가봐야하는데 생각만 하고 강산이 바뀌고도 남았을 텐데도 못가봤다…ㅎㅎ

Alaska 158: Seattle to Dallas Love Field

애들이 커지니 행동반경이 커지네…우리 꼬맹이군이 있던 로보틱스 팀이 세계대회에 출전자격을 받아서 세계대회 개최지인 Dallas에서 이번주를 보내게 되어 월요일에 Dallas로 향하는 비행기에 올라탔다..

예전 T-Mobile시절 한달 건너서 한번씩 꼭 가던 Dallas – 기억해보니 마지막으로 가본건 스승님 산소에 인사차 Oklahoma로 가고 Austin에 지인만나러 가는김에 중간 지점인 Dallas로 갔던게 10년전이다.. 그러다 그당시 아장아장 걸어다니던 꼬맹이군이 커져서 꼬맹이군 덕분에 다시 Dallas를 찾게 되었다.

Big-D for the first time in last 10 years! 🙂 and first time in Love field- Home of Southwest which was my first case in B-School..
