LG InstaView® Slide-In Gas Range

대충 10년전 이집에 이사왔을 때 나름 좀 되었지만 고급이란 이유로 유일하게 바꾸지 않고 전주인이 남기고 간걸 쓰던 게 Gas Range/Oven이었다…

허나 이도 세월을 못이기고 낡아가는 티가 팍팍나고 Oven을 쓸 때 계기판이 연하게 보이는 어려움을 겪어 지난 Thanksgiving때 지르고 지난달에 장착 완료…

그리고 Gas Range라 처리하기도 곤란하고 설치도 걱정 되었건만 다행히 보상판매+haulaway가 있어 대략 20년가량된 Gas Range 심지어 -푼돈이지만- 돈받고 처리했다….ㅎㅎ

큰 마음의 숙제 하나 완료….

The only appliance we didn’t replace when we bought this house was gas range because it was a kind of luxury brand.. However, after the years, we saw it getting degraded especially the screen was hard to see (have to turn all the lights off to barely guess what it is saying… caused trouble especially with oven features 🙂 ) so this was ordered as a Thanksgiving deal 🙂

Freemont Street Experience

항상 Strip만 갔었던 Las Vegas – 차도 있겠다 싶어서 Freemont를 한번 가봤다.. LG의 천장 곡면 Display가 궁금도 했고…약간은 Old Style한 Las Vegas느낌도 있겠다 싶어서 가봤는데..

일단 가족이랑 가는건 초비추…Strip도 별로라고 하지만 여기는 더 이상한 분위기… 뭐 Family Friendly를 바란건 아니지만 길에 이상한 사람도 너무 많고 그리고 사방에 풀초향 냄새… 결국 중간에 나와서 호텔로 돌아왔다.. 근데 지나고 보니 사진이 실제 Experience보다 300%를 보여주는듯싶다…

Maybe the best thing at here was actually in picture only. Picture was much better than what I saw and felt 🙂

LG G8 ThinQ

V10이후로 다시 만난 LG.. 쥐팔아 잘 부탁해… 역시 전화는 새 전화가 쵝오..ㅎㅎ 🙂 단, 은근히 슬쩍 편했던 삼성Pay가 없는게 흠이긴 한데.. 뭐 이제 LG Pay로 바꿔야하나?

이번엔 다행히 똥손임팩트를 피하려 꽁꽁 싸맸다.. 원래는 이런거 진짜 싫어하는디 똥손때문에 팔뿔이 사망시킨 이후로 어쩔수 없이..ㅎㅎ

한편 드는 생각은 요즘 이럴거면 핸드폰 외관 디자인이 뭔 소용있나 싶다.. 그냥 폰 두께만 얇게 하고 쓸데 없이 뒷면에 유리로 하네 뭐로 하네 다 필요 없는듯 싶다.

Hello LG G8 ThinQ…. Hopping back to LG 🙂 and writing another chapter in my smartphone journey – If I count correctly this one might be my 15th smartphone.. 🙂

After 2 years and 9 months of Windows phone journey, back to Android – but trying my best effort not to donate everything to evil company though.

Other than one scary blue screen, looks good – had to install a lot of Apps again with scratching my head to bring back memories 🙂  Starbucks, Mint, Office, Nest, Chase – Ah I can do mobile banking again!!!

Phone design looks decent especially

  • Dual screen experience is better than I thought – pretty useful actually (finding where to set up is hard :))
  • Pointer finger/backside button control – This was originally tried by Motorola in years before and adopted by LG in recent models, but

존경하지 마다않는 모 형님께서 테스트용으로 하사해주셔서 거의 3년만에 안드로이드로 복귀(?) 했다. 뭐 Win10폰은 정말 훌륭하게 보였지만, 공식 release는 at&t만 나오는 관계로 나랑 상관 없겠구나라고 생각할 때 하사를 받아 전격 이동.. 🙂

정말 아름답게 만든 폰인듯… 듀얼스크린은 – 아무도 기억 못하겠지만 예전에 dual screen display는 있었음 (LG Flip Smartphone)… – 어려운 숙제를 어쨌건 해결해서 제출한 분위기이나 생각보다 괜찮음..

한가지 아쉬운건 카메라 버튼은 있는게 좋지 않을까란 생각을 해봤음…

Tears for LG: LG Makes Latest myTouch Devices

Recently there was a news on LG from the front page of company’s intranet site…

Saying, LG will deliver 2 myTouch devices -company franchise models- in this holiday.

Strangely enough my company, which is obvious no 4, runs a model of “franchise” devices – meaning service provider dictates every things on device design and “OEM” delivers..

don’t know how much the service provider can dictate as much in smartphone era as it used to do in past, but this was the way htc grew its US business and smartphone business without its brand… And I heard there has been increasing tensions from htc that they will not do this type of business any more without their brand..

As a little shareholder of LGE…this is such a sad news.. maybe LG can get some volumes? But in this way? The more sad piece is all the comments from employees saying “This is a horrible move for franchise device!” Relating all the bad experiences with LG devices..-.-
