Crowdstrike Pandemic

Today (7/20) at Seatac; super busy – unlucky travelers who just happen to book United, Delta, American and other LCCs are impacted the most and waiting for ridiculous long waiting line for rebooking their flights. (Plus they are killing all airline’s ground staffs)

This is just ridiculous – Watching this just boiled my blood whether Crowdstrike knows anything about deployment and claim they are cybersecurity experts?

이게 제정신인가 싶다…Cybersecury의 강자라 칭하는 회사가 하는 수준이 이정도인가 싶다… 이건 Test도 제대로 안하고 Deployment Phase도 없이 이따구로 한다는게 정말 어이가 없다… 게다가 이 사건 이후에 promotion도 걸었다… (그리고 지네가 싸질러놓고 아무것도 모르는 언론이나 대중에겐 Microsoft Cloud/Azure 탓이라고 몰아가려다 오늘 보니 …이게 당최 왜 Cloud operator의 문제인가?)

얼렁 이 회사의 모든 Enterprise 고객들이 이런 회사는 다시는 사업 못하도록 혼쭐내줬음 한다…

West Bay at West Vancouver

지난 주말 부모님을 모시고 Vancouver 아버지랑 같이 공부하셨던 분 댁을 찾아뵙고 왔다..

우와 West Vancouver에는 Burrard Inlet, Lionsgate Bridge, Downtown, Stanley Park이 다보이는 이런 세상이 있었구나… 🙂

Yakima Cherry Picking

돌아오는 길에 마지막으로 멈췄던 Yakima – Teteon에서 고려장 🙂 시도 실패로 인한 꿩대신닭으로 노부부를 과수원에 강제 노역시켰다고 치자… 🙂 재미있게 체리 따고 먹고 왔다…

이로 대충 대략 2400마일 5박6일의 여정을 마치고 집에 돌아왔다…

Although late – maybe a week or so, we enjoyed the cherry picking at Yakima on the way home as a real-real last stop

Boise to Yakima

이제는 진짜 집으로 돌아가는 날…마지막 여정의 first leg인 Yakima까지 이동… 사막기후의 끝장을 보여주는 Eastern Oregon을 지나 빙글빙글 Deadman’s Pass도 지나고 Washington의 끝없는 Palouse 밀밭도 지나며 Yakima로 향했다.

Boise, ID

Teton Village Gondola에서 내려와 들숨과 날숨을 다시 찾은 후 🙂 다시 집으로 향한 장정을 시작하여 Freeway 3개 노선과 State Road 몇개를 통과하면서 총 6시간 가량 운전하여 Boise에 도착해서 호텔로 직행…

사실 Teton에서 나올 때 이용해야되는 2500m 의 산악도로인 Teton Pass가 지날 예정이던날 한달전에 무너져서 돌아가는게 불가피하겠구나며 탄식을 했는데 기적적으로 예정일 일주일 전 즈음에 임시 복구가 되어 안돌아와도 되게 되었다… – 아마 미국 생활이 강산이 두번 바뀔때쯤 되었는데 이리 빨리 공사하는 건 처음 목격한듯 싶다…(역시 관광이 가장 큰 소득인지라 재빠르게 임시로나마 복구한듯 하고.. )

Wyoming DOT에 경의를 표하며 동시에 Idaho와 Wyoming의 광활함에 대한 통감 그리고 Teton부터 시작했던 끝없는 Snake River곁을 따라 달리며 무사히 Boise에 도착… (이강 Teton에서 시작해 Wyoming-Idaho/Oregon을 다 지나 Washington까지 와서 Columbia River를 만난다….)

Now back to the road to get-closer-to-home driving and stopped at Boise after 6 hours of driving multiple freeways and state roads along with endless Snake river which started from Teton –

Also, I need to admit this 6 hours of driving was actually a result of miraculous work as Teton Pass was landslided a month ago and only took ~3 weeks to build up the temporary bypass – Thanks to marvel engineering works and quick actions from Wyoming DOT (Big thank you!) – This is the fastest ever road engineering work I have noticed in US in last ~20 years 🙂

Teton Village

Stopped by at Teton Village and rode the Top of the World gondola..

이번 부모님 모시고 간 로드 트립에서의 마지막 관광지 stop은 티턴 빌리지로….(하고 하루 자고 왔음 좋으련만…너무 비싸기도 하고 돌아갈 길이 멀어서… 🙂 곤돌라만 타고 왔다..) 나름 미국 몇대 스키장에 들어가는 이쁘고 유명한 곳이라 겨울에 오지 못한 아쉬움도 살짝…

곤돌라를 타고 올라간 Top of the World는 10,450 feet/3,185 meter의 고도가 높은 곳… 처음으로 저산소증으로 숨이 차는 신기한 경험을 하고 와 주심… 실행인 본인의 저산소증으로 고려장은 실패를 외치고 웃으며 부모님과 내려왔다…ㅎㅎㅎ
