Marugame Udon

지난 금요일 날도 으슬으슬해지고 와이키키해변에서 먹었던 우동집이 대륙으로 진출해서 동네에 생겼다고 해서 구지 찾아가주시고 기다려서 먹어주고 왔다…

지금 생각해보면 옛날 와이키키 다서도 그냥 “일본에서 온 우동집”이라는 환상에 상짝 실망했던거 같은데….그 때의 아쉬움을 정확하게 다시 느끼고 왔다…시애틀 최고의 우동은 구로부타 ㄷㅎㄴ까스집에서 먹는게 정답인걸로…ㅎㅎㅎ

Jumped down to Tukwila to check out Marugame at continent 🙂 and got immediately reminded that I was not very impressed when I checked the same shop at Waikiki neither.

So still the best Udon in town remains to be Kurobuta’s 🙂

Olde Brooklyn Coffee

얼마전 또 Amazon에서 주문한 Brazil 원두로 Italian 로스팅을 한 New York산으로 추정되는 Coffee ㅎㅎㅎ
뭐 적정한 가격에 ($0.6/Once)라 주문해봤는데 맛도 괜찮음… 일도 New York 시간에 Brazil, Italian사람 포함해서 일하니까 coffee도 일치한다고 생각하기로 했다… 🙂

Good find at Amazon – I guess I am drinking Brazil raised coffee with Italian roasting from New York so perfectly reflecting the time zone & ways I work 🙂

Dubai Chocolate Bar

그 유명한 두바이 초코렛 – 이웃분께서 한국 갔다오시면서 사다 주셔서 먹어보았다 🙂 뭐 나쁘지는 않은데 viral까지 될것인가 싶음… 허나 맛좋았던 이 초코렛은 충격적인 실체가 많음…

– Dubai Style Chocolate이다.. Style을 필기체로 흘려 잘 안보이게함…ㅎㅎㅎ
– Dubai Chocolate이 한국산 (Okay-한국에서 사와주셨으니…) 그것도 산좋고 물좋은 영월…엥?ㅎㅎ
– 한국산인데 원재료는 한국산이 거의 없는 듯….totally international – 말레이시아, 네덜란드, 라트비아, 미국, 호주, 캐나다 아주 전세계에서 다 가져다 영월에서 만들었나 보다.. 🙂 근데 당최 Dubai는 그냥 Style로만 그치는 건가…ㅎㅎ

뭐 맛좋았으니 되었다…:)

Happened to taste the viral Dubai Chocolate from Korea (neighbor visited Seoul picked this up and share to us 🙂 ) but encountered lots of funny details – taste was great though 🙂

– It is actually Dubai Style Chocolate 🙂
– Maybe because it is Style only, this Chocolate is made in nice mountain area in Korea
– All key ingredients seems to be all imported from all around the world (Malaysia, Netherlands, Latvia, USA, Australia, Canada) except Dubai 🙂 making me wonder what the point of making this in rural mountain area in Korea 😛

As I am happy with this taste, let’s say we are the world! 🙂

US-101 Hook and Taylor Shelton Shellfish Market

LA Downtown부터 시작해 Washington주 Olympic National Park을 한바퀴 돌면서 끝나는 US-101 – 서부에서 다양한 곳(LA Hollywood, San Jose, SF/금문교, Redwood National Park, Oregon Coast, Olympic National Park) 을 연결하는 긴 국도(총 대략 1550마일) 이기도 하고 신기하게도 이 길은 여러 인연으로 거의 완주를 했는데 다만 Olympic National Park오른쪽 부분만 한번도 지나갈 기회가 없었다…

주말에 캠핑을 마치고 돌아가려는데 짧게 가는 길이 교통사고로 정체중이라 이쪽으로 돌아가라 해서 이김에 Washington US-101구간 완주하자 하고 Olympia로 돌아왔다 🙂

사실 옆의 물은 깊은 바다의 만이라 짭쪼름냄새 맡으며 경치를 즐기고 달렸고 오는 길에 Taylor Shellfish Farm에 들려서 석화 한다발과 마닐라클램 한다발 사서 이번주에 포식…ㅎㅎ

자 이제 US-101은 California의 Redwood National Park-Santa Rosa, Salinas-Hollywood구간만 남았는데 언제 다 다닐 수 있을지 아니면 정말 다녀볼 필요는 있는 건지도 사실 의문…(언제 Santa Babara는 한번 가보지 않을까 조심스럽게 생각만 해봄…ㅎㅎ)

Luckily or unluckily, navigation after getting out of camp was suggesting us to take route to home via Olympia due to traffic accident on shortest cut 🙂 so used this as an opportunity to clear off last remaining unexplored portion of US-101 in Washington

Passed thru amazing scenery of Hood canal and stopping over at Taylor Shellfish market was a bonus 🙂
