수지 본가에서 제일가까운 떡뽁이집…
다들 배달시켜 먹는 세상인데, 주택가 떡뽁이집 평일 늦은 점심에 백수같은 아저씨가 츄리닝에 스레빠 질질 끌고 가서 머리 벅벅 긁으며 걸어가 주문하고 받아왔다.
To be a stranger enough, jobless like ajeossi walked into the shop and ordered a large Tteokbokki set as a to-go order. 🙂

올해도 Alaska milage로 서울행….
작년에는 Alaska Group이 Alaska로 허가받기 전 Hawaiian으로 임시 운영하던 노선이었는데 올해 부터는 정식으로 허가받고 Alaska 이름붙이고 운행하기 시작해서 처음이지만 처음 아닌 기분으로 탔다…
뭐 같은 보잉 787 잘날라가고 하는건 같은데 작년 Hawaiian 탔을 때 주던 사소하지만 어미니티같은 건 쳐내버리고 치즈 떡뽁이까지 준비하며 주던 Hawaiian의 맛있던 기내식은 Alaska로 변경됨에 따라 아쉽지만 영혼없는 옛날 미국식 기내식 처럼 되어버려 냅다 영화만 줄창나게 보다왔다….ㅜ.ㅜ 돌아갈 때 서울발이 어떻게 나올지 매우 궁금해졌다…
Took Alaska’s direct international flight to Seoul for the first time if I count out last year’s Hawaiian:) Nice and cozy with long leg seats but the food was a slight disappointment compared to last year’s Hawaiian when this flight was served with Hawaiian flag…
So to get most out of juice, devoted entire flight to movies: One in a Mill10n, The Super Mario Galaxy, Michael and rewatched the last episode of Ted Lasso

말그대로 아는 형님 만나러 오랜만에 점심에 벨뷰 다운타운으로 나섰다…그냥 poke집으로 오라하셔서 주소 찾아가니 또 이동네를 한 때 쓸고다니셨던 Expedia의 본사가 있던 빌딩 한켠의 있는 poke집이었다.
지난 10년간 항상 그러듯 이 동네의 좋은 사무실 빌딩들은 결국은 다 아마존이 꿀꺽하셔서 결국 아마존 월드에서 밥먹고 왔다… 🙂

The location was actually the old HQ building of Expedia before it left to Seattle…
As similar to all other fates of nice office buildings in this town, this building also is in the hands of Amazon today…:)

몇년에 한번 정도 지나가기만했던 Seattle Pacific University aka SPU…처음으로 한가한 토요일 오후에 학교 캠퍼스를 구경했다…
정말 시애틀스러운 주거동네인 Queen Anne동네에 조그맣게 있는 신학교였는데 4년제로 전환된 학교이고 옛날 한국 농구를 팔로우하는 사람이라면 들어봤음직한 시애틀 출신인 이승준 이동준 형제가 다니면서 선수생활한 학교이기도 하다… 뭐 학교 주위엔 아무것도 없고, 학교도 대부분 로컬 학생들에다가 쿼터제인지라 9월초 주말의 개학전 학교는 아주 조용하기 짝이 없어서 학교 근방의 빵집에서 사온 빠게트 뜯어 먹으며 커피한잔 드셔 주셨다..
