Chick-Fil-A To-Go

20200416_113526 20200416_122422

Chick-Fil-A To go pickup – store is still crowded with drive thru although dining hall is closed. (you tell the staff at the door -blocked by table- then they hand it to you at the door.)

This was a totally opposite to the case I picked up the day before at local Thai restaurant (which is the hot spot for walking traffic form T-Mobile & I used to eat at there a lot) Store was dark not many to go orders and I could see the pain of survival in the restaurant’s staff’s face..

Sadly, this Stay At Home Order is impacting restaurants totally different ways – if store is driven by car traffic, looks like it is relatively holiding okay, but if the store is dependent on nearby foot/walking traffic, this must be a nightmare..

Stay At Home Order

Jjapaguri with Steak/짜파구리+Steak

20200412_124846 20200412_130841

Originally this mix of Chapagetti & Neoguri became famous from one of the TV variety show (“Camping with Dad”) but revitalized the hype with movie Parasite (with Steak in it as a upscale upgrade.. 🙂 )

Pulmuone Spicy Beef Flavored Ramen Noodle Soup/

Another nice noodle from Pulmuone (maybe Pulmuone has the best quality for the noodle now..) Still decent one but maybe broth was a bit strong though.

Burger King $12.99 Family Bundle

20200405_130228

Another ‘Deal ~~because of Corona~~ for the Family’ at last weekend. 🙂

Total 6 burgers (3 Whoppers & 3 Cheese Burgers) + 3 Fries = $12.99+Tax – not bad for our family (with 2 furiously eating boys..) and has been a while to enjoy BK’s Whopper.. (You need a Burger King’s App to claim this deal..)

Cleared off one more meal with nice $12.99+Tax

Folgers Coffee

20200406_144140

Another thing learned/reminded via WFH is the fact I drink a lot of coffee… As the volume of coffee I drink cannot be sustained with Espresso machine which has been the usual go-to at home, decided to buy a can of drip coffee – can’t recall the last time I bought the drip coffee. 🙂

Folgers drip coffee reminded me the old days in the dorm in Iowa..

KFC

20200403_123835

As one of the big change for me with staying at home is now all meals became family meal, we end up taking another ‘Corona’ deal – one order covers family and/or even covers multiple meals 🙂 – from KFC… $20 or $30 bucket deal…

$20 Family Meal from Panda Express

20200330_123918

Went outside to pickup $20 Panda Express Family Meal with ‘risk’ of infection… well walnut shrimp required additional $3.75 so it was actually $23.75 meal but plenty of food for family of four to eat up across 2 meals.

Hanalei Island IPA

20200326_205744

You can only see as much as you know.. Now, I see the name of this bear is Hanalei – one more payoff from Kauai trip. 🙂

Dalgona Coffee

20200319_213910

Wow.. Tried the ‘viral Korean sugar creamy’ coffee aka Dalgona (달고나) coffee

Pretty simple – the formula is instant coffee, sugar, hot water- all 2 table spoons and mix it up till you see the sticky foam starts to build up and the color turns golden brown – then prepare a cup with ice & milk and just top it with the Dalgona foam – then wait a bit and watch the foam melting into the milk. Then simply sip it.. 🙂

This one I used Vietnamese G7 coffee as I didn’t have the instant coffee as a replacement for 2 spoon of instant coffee but worked fine..
