Going to the Sun Road, scenic drive built in 1932, felt exactly the same way it is named… + a bit of scared to death for driver 🙂

고잉투더썬 절벽길 운전 하다가 까딱 정신줄 놓으면 골로가는줄…..ㅎㅎ “운전해서 저하늘까지” ..

Summer Road Trip 2019: Glacier National Park

5 days & 4 nights, 3 States, 2 time zones, and about 1300 miles of driving – all decided at the night before departure 🙂 For surely, unplanned road-trip amplifies the memories and fun.

고되긴 하지만 Roadtrip은 Roadtrip이 주는 기억과 맛이 있다.

이번 여행은 더구나 대충 3일전쯤에 휴가를 쓸수 있는게 결정되고, 아이들 개학전 마지막 주말을 끼고 어디로 갈까를 고민하다 출발하기 전날 밤에 목적지를 결정하고, 일정 짜고, 급하게 예약해서, 우격다짐으로 가서 그런지 더 무계획이 주는 맛도 추가였다.

Hoover Dam

Hoover Dam:

Finally finished all the Southwest trip and checked this spot as last stop before getting back to Las Vegas for return flight. Reminded me one of the Beavis and Butthead episode of “Is this the God Dam?”

모든 여행을 마치고 다시 Las Vegas로 비행기 타러 끝없는 Mojave 사막을 달려 돌아오는 길 그 유명한 후버댐도 처음 와봤다. 이걸 대략 80년전에 지었다구?!

Desert Botanical Garden at Phoenix:

Blown out by expensive admission fee but, at the end, was worth of paying

Phoenix에가서 In-and-Out burger 시식 이외에 Phoenix시내에서 유일하게 한일은..선인장 감상..

Arizona에 왔으니 선인장이나 신나게 봤다… 신기하게도 도시밖으로 나가면 Freeway주위에 선인장들이 나무있듯이 널려있다..

Almost forgot how to drive in the cities…. 🙂

오랜만에 도시..ㅎㅎ 게다가 엄청 크네… Greater Phoenix가 Greater Seattle이랑 인구가 비슷하데는데…이 수많은 사람들 뭐하고 사나 궁금하다..ㅎ 기회되면 왕년에 우리 김법규형이 씹어드시던 야구장 한번 가보고 싶었건만 아쉽게도 DBacks는 원정 중이라 못보고 옴…

Monument Valley & Forest Gump Point

Though & long drive – but seeing Monument Valley was one of my list since Forest Gump & Windtalker.

This is where Forest Gump said “I am pretty tired I think I’ll gotta go home now” aka Forest Gump Point. 🙂

사실 이 뷰 하나 보려고 오는것 때문에 고민을 많이 하긴했는데 잘 갔다온듯 싶다.. 진짜 Valley안의 Navajo Tribal Park는 다음 기회에..ㅎㅎㅎ
