Wailua River State Park: Wailua Falls, Opaekaa Falls, Coco Nut & Rooster

Jurassic World에 애들이 뛰어내리는 장면에서 나오는 폭포 감상 [Jurassic World Falls] ..후와..근데 주차장은 닭들이 점령해있고(이섬의 주인은 닭인듯..ㅎㅎ), 다른 한켠에서는 코코넛을 까서 팔아서 그자리에서 칼로 잘라주는걸 시음.. (사실 회사에서 마실수 있는 Zico랑 사실 맛차이 못느낌..ㅎㅎ)

애들이 부르던 코코넛송이 하루종일 머리속에서 떠다녔다… (It’s not a Coconut Its a Coco Fruit from the Coco Tree of the Coco Palm Family ~~~)

도시이름은 남자들이 많아서인지 Kapa’a ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ (남자는 갑빠 여자는 내숭…ㅎ)

Falls tour of the east shore of the island… (the fall kids jump off at Jurassic World Falls ) and enjoyed fresh Coconut, actually Coco fruit from the coco tree of the coco palm family (Coconut song [The Coconut Song] my little one sings with nuts :))

Waimea Canyon: Waimea Canyon Trail

밖에서도 멋진 Canyon, Canyon 병풍을 안쪽에서 구경하려고 나선 Trail –  비가 내려서 촉촉해진 진토 Trail을 걷느라 이몸이 죽고죽어 백골이 진토가 된다지만 개고생..ㅎㅎ

그래도 영화에서 보는 CG같은 풍경들(Jumanji, Avatar, 등등)을 직접 보며 힘차게 걸었다..ㅎㅎ

Kauai 돌아다니면서 사방에서 보는 길닭들은 Canyon에서도 진치고 있으시면서 ‘이게 힘드냐’하고 쳐다봐 주심..

Fun trail hiking – where hiking was a series of physical challenge (ultra muddy paths, crossing streams, juggling around fallen trees) in a movie scene locations. Kauai’s street chickens or roosters are in the canyon as well.. 🙂

Joker & Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw

휴가 가는 6.5시간 비행기에서 때마침 보고싶던 영화 두편 감상… (+Amazon Fire Tablet에 gogo entertain app깔아서 아주 유용하게 사용..ㅎㅎ)

Joker: 이거 좀 명작인듯 싶다.. 물론 약간 잔인한 장면도 있지만 이야기 전개가 아주 탄탄함; 약간  오버하자면 거의 내가 조커인지 조커가 나인지 하는 우는 심정으로 봤다..-o-;

F&F: 오락영화의 명불허전 F&F 날라다니는 두 배우 보는맛 + 이 영화의 촬영지이자 이번 여행의 목적지였던 Kauai 사전학습 효과도..

Watched great 2 movies on the 6.5 hour long flight. Joker made me wonder whether I am the Joker or Joker is me 🙂 and F&F which always fulfill its name and picture taken at flight’s destination.

The Gentlemen

Had no idea on where Hugh Grant’s showing + who is the one looks similar like RDJ? But came to moment of realization at the mid of movie…. 🙂

Anyhow, I chose this one instead of Bad Boys.. and have been keep thinking about my choice during the entire movie (and surprised at the positive reviews afterwards – There must be something wrong in my coffee??)

휴그랜트가 나온다는데 왜 없지? 그리고 저 RDJ닮은 사람은 누구지 하면서 중간까지 보다 무릎을 딱쳤다…^.^ I live in Notting Hill, you live in Beverly Hills을 외치며 이마까고 무표정+느끼한 미소를 날리던 휴그랜트도 세월의 무게를 피할순 없구나..

역시 광고 화려한 영화는 결국 광고에서 본게 다더라(예 007시리즈들) 싶었는데 리뷰는 나쁘지 않다.. 내가 이상한건가?

Jumanji: The Next Level

사실 오락적인 재미로 치자면 이게 Star Wars보다 더 좋긴했음…ㅎㅎ  명불허전의 Jack Black, Kevin Hart 게다가 갑빠왕인 Dwayne Johnson까지…

애들이 보고싶어해서 아침에 전편 온라인으로 사보고 저녁에 후속편 감상까지..-.-; Jumanji로 시작해서 Jumanji로 끝난 하루..

Now recalling the movies I watched during Holidays, this one had more entertainment factors than Star Wars -w.r.t pure entertainment perspective. Started the morning with on-demand movie at home on previous version and finished the day at the movie theater. Day started and finished with Jumanji.

Mrs. Doubtfire Musical at 5th Ave Theatre

Had a nice time at 5th Ave Theatre with Mrs. Doubtfire at the last day of 2019. -Also, surprised to learn this Seattle performance is world premiere & pre-Broadway tryout before it goes to officially to Broadway in the Spring. Oh Dear… 🙂

옛날 로빈 윌리엄스의  인생작 영화 중 하나였던 Mrs. Doubtfire. 뮤지컬로 재탄생해서 관람해주셨는데 자세히 보니 이게 이번에 Seattle에서 세계최초 & 시범 공연이란다.. (올봄 브로드웨이에서 시작할 예정)

Star Wars IX: The Rise of Skywalker

It is kind of crazy that my first movie theater experience I still remember is Star Wars back in early 80s as a little boy in a small town in Wisconsin..and the last part of story ends at 2019

American Factory

American Factory from Netflix.. nice and well made documentary shows collision between totally different cultures, business principles, and way to resolve with clear effort of balancing – I felt this story was trying to tell both sides’ story in vary balanced manner.

Chinese owners who are struggling with low productivity of plant + Chinese technical staffs who devoted their life – 24×7 without rest nor personal life (and even at OHIO!! :)) vs somewhat thankless but, at the same time, struggling US workers from aggressive / abusive Chinese management style. No one seems to be happy and everybody is struggling from different aspects 😦

Interestingly, this combination of this story is all things I have special feelings – State of Ohio, GM, China, UAW.

재미있는 다큐멘터리.. (물론 개인적으로는 여기 나오는 요소들은 다 밉상이다..ㅎㅎㅎ)

([미시간에서 살고 공부했던 나한테는 모든게 다 싫은] 오하이오, [이쁜차는 못만드는데 세금으로 살려낸] GM, [막무가네로 크고 깡패짓하기 시작하는] 중국, [대책없는 미국의 제조산업의 원흉중 하나라고 봐도 무방한] UAW)

중국 경영진/기술진과 미국 노동자간의 첨예한 달짝지근 쌉싸롬한 관계를 나름 균형있게 보여준다. 미국 공장의 낮은 생산성 + 가족 다놔두고 멀리 깡촌으로 와 개고생을 하지만서도 본국스타일로 마구 밀어붙이는 중국 오너와 기술진들 & 어떻게 보면 “물에 빠진거 구해줬더니 보따리 내놓으라”식으로 정신 못차리는것도 같지만 한편 중국경영진에 무시당하고 까이고 박봉에 힘겨워하는 미국 공장 근로자들.. 모두가 괴롭다.

한편 – 짜증나는 것도 있겠지만 그래도 외”주인” 및 내”노자”의 이야기는 외”노자”의 것보단 좋지 않을까? 🙂
