아무래도 가톨릭 신자가 아니어서 어렵지 않을까 생각하고 너무 어려우면 꺼야지 하고 틀었다가 훅 들어가 끝까지 눈을 못떼고 봤던 영화 – Vatican City의 어마어마한 영상미와 멋진 배경음악… 그리고 두 성직자의 성직자와 인간 사이의 고민/질문이 계속되는 내용에 몰입도가 훅치고 들어오는 끝장 영화였다.. 종교의 차원을 떠나서 강추… 한편 마지막 월드컵 결승장면은 영화를 끝내며 미소를 준다..
영어/독일어/스페인어/이태리어 그리고 난 정말 뭔말이지 하나도 모르는 라틴어가 마구 섞여서 대사들이 진행되는데 감탄도.. Netflix 명작 하나더 추가…
Hesitated a bit before watching this movie, as I am not a roman catholic but absolutely one of the hidden jewel of Netflix. This movie nicely brought the questions between being human & priest with beautiful sceneries of Vatican City & music- making me wonder what is the distinction between fiction and non-fiction. Plus the details in the movie of mashing multiple languages up (English/German/Spanish and others..:)) is another fun point to watch..
If you follow football/soccer, don’t turn off this movie till you see the last scene…

사실 이 영화는 내용도 멋지지만 미국 자동차 산업의 특성을 속속 파고든 영화다..
Ford는 원래 차를 잘 만드는 것보다는 대량 생산과 효율에 초점을 둔 회사인데 (Model T 지금도 사실 F-150트럭으로 먹고사는 회사가 아닐까 싶다..) 반해 이태리의 Ferrari는 수제 제작에 장인정신으로 일어선 회사…
정반대의 길을 걸어온 두 회사가 인수합병 실패로 맘상하고 Racing에서 자존심 대결을 하는 구조.. (어렸을적 우리집 첫 자가용이 대우차 ‘르망’이었는디..ㅎㅎ) 헨리 포드 2세가 Shelby차를 시승하고 울부짖으며 한말이 압권이다 (I wish my daddy, he were alive to see this…(Youtube) 더불어 회사의 관료주의와 간판은 없지만 재야의 실력자간의 긴장관계도 보여준 정말 구성 잘한 영화이지 싶다..
게다가 이 구성 좋은 스토리에 자동차 경주를 실제 보는것보다 더 짜릿한 긴장감을 연출하는 촬영이 대박이지 않나싶다.
기생충을 보지는 않았지만 (아무리 생각해도 내 취향이 아닌듯하여.. 내취향은 초단순이다.. 행복한 권선징악 ‘어렵고 결론이 슬픈 어두운 내용은 싫어요’ 인지라….) 기생충이 이 영화를 제쳤다고?! 물론 이 영화도 결국 촬영과 사운드는 상을 받았음..
WOW – This is a movie of the WOW.. maybe one of the best movie I watched in years.. Missed the prime time in theaters, so have been patiently waiting for the moment when online distributors started ‘renting’ 🙂
Story has extremely detailed descriptions of auto industry’s business model between Ford/American and Ferrari/European – production efficiency vs. extreme craftmanship and those two faiths collided each other during the failed M&A attempt. This collision were faced off at racing field of Le Man. (Plus there is also contrast of corporate ‘white color bureaucracy’ and ‘blue color expertise/passion’ in the movie..)
Maybe the most stunning moment for me was Henry Ford II crying after the test drive by Shelby (I wish my daddy, he were alive to see this… (Youtube)
Anyhow perfect contrasts in storyline with unbelievable details and “like real” on motion filming and sounds – maybe this movie was more realistic than any other broadcast of racing I have ever seen..
Last word – how the hXXX ‘Parasite’ took over the best movie above this??!! Although being ‘Korean’, I didn’t watch Parasite as my taste of movie being always happy, bright and simple.. 🙂

Another good Emmet, nobody hates, story and Die hard movie with strict Die Hard formula, -Bruce Willis running with white and partially bloody upper under ware, jump, fire, broken glasses – based story 🙂
그냥 에밋이 좋은 Lego Movie 2와 여전히 Die hard공식 (피묻은 란닝구에 뛰어다니고 공중에서 뛰어다니고….)을 철저히 맞춘 Bruce Willis의 이야기..ㅎㅎㅎ

Jurassic World에 애들이 뛰어내리는 장면에서 나오는 폭포 감상 [Jurassic World Falls] ..후와..근데 주차장은 닭들이 점령해있고(이섬의 주인은 닭인듯..ㅎㅎ), 다른 한켠에서는 코코넛을 까서 팔아서 그자리에서 칼로 잘라주는걸 시음.. (사실 회사에서 마실수 있는 Zico랑 사실 맛차이 못느낌..ㅎㅎ)
애들이 부르던 코코넛송이 하루종일 머리속에서 떠다녔다… (It’s not a Coconut Its a Coco Fruit from the Coco Tree of the Coco Palm Family ~~~)
도시이름은 남자들이 많아서인지 Kapa’a ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ (남자는 갑빠 여자는 내숭…ㅎ)
Falls tour of the east shore of the island… (the fall kids jump off at Jurassic World Falls ) and enjoyed fresh Coconut, actually Coco fruit from the coco tree of the coco palm family (Coconut song [The Coconut Song] my little one sings with nuts :))

밖에서도 멋진 Canyon, Canyon 병풍을 안쪽에서 구경하려고 나선 Trail – 비가 내려서 촉촉해진 진토 Trail을 걷느라 이몸이 죽고죽어 백골이 진토가 된다지만 개고생..ㅎㅎ
그래도 영화에서 보는 CG같은 풍경들(Jumanji, Avatar, 등등)을 직접 보며 힘차게 걸었다..ㅎㅎ
Kauai 돌아다니면서 사방에서 보는 길닭들은 Canyon에서도 진치고 있으시면서 ‘이게 힘드냐’하고 쳐다봐 주심..
Fun trail hiking – where hiking was a series of physical challenge (ultra muddy paths, crossing streams, juggling around fallen trees) in a movie scene locations. Kauai’s street chickens or roosters are in the canyon as well.. 🙂

휴가 가는 6.5시간 비행기에서 때마침 보고싶던 영화 두편 감상… (+Amazon Fire Tablet에 gogo entertain app깔아서 아주 유용하게 사용..ㅎㅎ)
Joker: 이거 좀 명작인듯 싶다.. 물론 약간 잔인한 장면도 있지만 이야기 전개가 아주 탄탄함; 약간 오버하자면 거의 내가 조커인지 조커가 나인지 하는 우는 심정으로 봤다..-o-;
F&F: 오락영화의 명불허전 F&F 날라다니는 두 배우 보는맛 + 이 영화의 촬영지이자 이번 여행의 목적지였던 Kauai 사전학습 효과도..
Watched great 2 movies on the 6.5 hour long flight. Joker made me wonder whether I am the Joker or Joker is me 🙂 and F&F which always fulfill its name and picture taken at flight’s destination.

지난 달에 재미있게 열심히 봤던 Netflix의 Pandemic (나 나름 documentary를 좋아함..ㅎ 닥덕이 되어가고 있음..) Flu와 인간의 사투를 보여준다. 한편 이번 Corona outbreak를 보면서 느끼는 점도 많음..
뭐 개인적으로는 이 series를 보면서 – 이미 중국에서도 인구 밀집도가 높고 교류가 많은 대도시가 있는 후베이성과 광둥성에 퍼진순간 이게 이제 최소 아시아 전역으로 퍼지는거는 시간의 문제라는 마음의 준비(?)같은 생각을 하고는 있었다… (물론 한국에서 ㅅㅊㅈ 같은 정신병자 집단들이 나올거라곤 예상을 못했지만서도.. 참고로 ㅅㅊㅈ 미친X들은 -나도 주위에서 이 미친 X들 때문에 너무나 고생한 지인들을 목격한 관계로 – 절대 협력안할거고 숨기기에 급급할 것이기에 다 발본색원해서 아작을 내야한다고 생각한다..)
아마도 문제는 면역 치유가 어려운 환자들을 어떻게 치료할지, 그 과정에서 의료진이 어떻게 될찌, 그리고 virus가 아닌 다른 환자 처리는 어떻게 해야할지 인듯하고 여름이 오면서 사그러들지 그리고 과연 온다면 미국에는 언제올것이고 무슨일이 일어날찌가 걱정이다.
나름 2009년에 H1N1 swine flu 난리 났을 때 Mexico에서 outbreak후 최초의 미국 환자가 Mexico갔다 온 Seattle사람이라고 뉴스를 때린지 1달 가량 되었나 싶을때 몸이 안좋아 병원에 갔더니 아주 아무일없다는 듯 너 Flu야 이야기하는 의사를 마주보고 나혼자 패닉하던 기억.. ㅎㅎ
의사: 너 Flu야
나: 혹시 이거 그 H1N1맞나요?
의사: 웅 Washington주에선 그 Flu밖에 유행 안해..
나: 헐!!!!!! 그럼 나 중증센터로 격리 입원해야하는거 아닌가요?
의사: 너 해열제 먹어도 열안내려가고 숨 못쉬면 그럴까야.. 근데 넌 여기를 네가 운전해 찾아왔을 정도라는건 그럴일 없다는 증거이니 그냥 집에서 약먹고 쉬어..-.-; 너같은 애 지금 Washington주에 족히 몇천은 있어..-.-;
이러기도 했던 나라인데 한편 몇년전 Ebola때는 전투적으로 격리+치료로 유입을 막기도 했었다. (근데 문제는 그 때 만든 기구/조직및 제도들을 Trump 행정부가 다 날려버렸다는 이야기도 있는데..) 과연 이번 게 미국에 들어오면 어케될지
암튼 서울에 있는 양가 어른 가족들 신경이 계속 쓰이네..-.-; 네이버 뉴스를 보면 참 가슴만 아프다..
Very timely series Pandemic from Netflix. This documentary series has been a good text book for me to see the things happening in China and Korea. This series taught me almost everything on flu and fights against it by human and gave me a good perspective on what is happening now except the stupid cult people spreading the virus in Korea.
I guess now the key is when it will get weaken, if it becomes weaker with summer hit, and if and when it touches US. Reminds me how wide-spread H1N1 swine flu in 2009 went thru US (I was infected!! 😦 ) and how Ebola defense worked in few years ago.

Ultimately, sad story -in the end- but extremely well-made documentary by Netflix.
다큐멘터리는 이렇게 만드는거다를 보여주는 수작이라 생각됨!!…
