Bridle Trails State Park

A block or so area between Bellevue & Kirkland – Always passed by the other side of the road and maybe encountered several ‘ranches’ having horse barn and wondered where do they ride the horse. Now I know after trailing with extreme care of brown things left by horses.. :)..

벨뷰와 커클랜드 사이에 있는 두블락 즘 되는 공원 Trail – 주립공원인줄 몰랐네..ㅎㅎ 항상 입구 반대편의 벨뷰 시립 골프장 쪽 목장형 저택들만 보며 지나가다가 입구에 와본건 처음… 뭐 와서보니 사실 승마 시설이 엄청나서 승마공원급 수준.. Trail이 넓고 자연이 잘 보관되어 있어 좋긴한데 Trail이 넓은건 말들이 뛰다니기 위해서이고.. 곳곳에 말똥이 널려 마냥 편하게만은 못다님…ㅎㅎ

오랜만에 뛰었다.. 어딜뛸까 하다 -입사한지 10년차만에 처음으로- 항상 지나가면서 보기만했던 회사 Campus Trail을 걷다 뛰다…

Surprisingly first time walking/jogging on campus’ trail on late Sunday afternoon.. 🙂

Fort Stevens State Park: Peter Iredale Shipwreck

First stop – to look shipwreck in the chain of ‘Graveyard of the Pacific’ 🙂

첫 도착지는 폐허 투어…ㅎㅎㅎ 태평양의 선박 공동묘지라 불리는 오레곤 북쪽 부터 워싱턴 해안가 그리고 벤쿠버 섬 끝쪽까지의 태평양 해안은 거친 파도와 예측이 어려운 돌발 기후(해무, 비 돌풍 등등), 해안가에 쫙 나 있는 돌들 때문에 예전에는 뻑하면 배들이 침몰했단다… 그중 몇몇곳은 여전히 그냥 폐허로 남겨둔 곳들중 하나가 Columbia river 하구의 Oregon의 Fort Stevens 바닷가에 있는 shipwreck..

한편 이 동네나 워싱턴 해안가에는 Fort가 많은데… 이 또한 북쪽 친구들이랑 한판 붙을걸 대비해 (워싱턴 해안가의 섬들에 대한 영유권 분쟁-심지어 워싱턴에 있는 섬 하나에는 양국 군이 주둔하고 있었는데 경계를 넘어온 돼지 한마리 잡은것 때문에 일촉즉발까지 갔다가 돼지 고기를 나누면서 화해했다는 카더라 이야기도…-.-; ) 여기저기 해안가에 군사 기지를 만들어놨는데 지금은 다 공원이 되어 있다..

Lewis and Clark Bridge / Oregon Coast Highway

그동안 오래토록 집콕하다가 백신도 맞고 정신건강 회복 차원에서 아이들 Spring Break기간을 맞이하여 오랜만에 운전대 한번 제대로 잡아주셨다.. 북서쪽 외퉁수 마을에 사는데 담장 넘어 북쪽인 영국령 콜롬비아로 못가니 그동안 가보고는 싶지만 엄두를 못냈던 남쪽 미국령 콜롬비아를 탐방하기로 하고 제대로 달려주셨다.

차에서 내릴때마다 어디를 갈때 마다 항상 마스크 써야하는걸 remind해야해서 느낌이 많이 다르긴 했지만 뭐 이제 이건 앞으로의 standard라 편하게 생각하기로 마음을 잡아먹고 움직였다..

Back to the driving wheel in a while – after long no-travel + stay at home plus vaccination period. Still have to remind myself and families to wear masks and check the restaurants/stores status during the travel but this might be the new norm going forward..

As villager living at the northwest corner of the town and not allowed to go over the borderline of British Columbia, decided to take an expedition of ‘American Columbia’ 🙂

집나간 정신 불러올때 왔다임.. 신맛이 강하디 강해서 아마 과육이 있는 건조전의 생원두를 씹을 때 이런맛이 나지 않을가 싶은 맛 (물론 생원두를 씹어본적이 있지는 않으므로 표현의 검증을 불가능하다…)

Hapa Food Co. food truck at Bellevue

Never imagined but the best Hawaiian food I found at continental US – at least for Garlic Butter Shrimp – was actually near my home..

In some sense this was even better than the taste I remember from North shore food trucks place.

우연히 동네에서 지나가다 발견하고 리뷰가 좋아서 사와본 하와이안 – 최소 저 마늘 새우는 오아후 노스쇼어에서 먹은 기억보다 좋았다..

가격은 하와이급이긴 하지만 가끔 먹기엔 충분히 훌륭…

Snow Walking

산책 겸 85C에 걸어가서 빵사오려고 나갔다가 도착하니 예정에 없던 조기 마감 -아쒸 4:05에 도착했는데 4시에 닫았다고 문에 써놓음… 눈밭길에서 왕복 40분 산책만 잘하고 왔다.. 이왕 똥개 훈련한번한거 빵은 더 먹고싶어져서 내일 아침에 다시 뛰어갈까 고민중…ㅎㅎ

Had a nice walk over the snow on real first lowland snow of the season – although failed to buy some snacks from 85C – they closed today at 4PM while I arrived at there at 4:05 after 20 min of one way walk 😦
