여러번 포틀랜드에 와봤지만 지난주말 다운타운 가까이 시내에서는 사실 처음으로 시간을 보내고 왔다…이미 듣고 뉴스에서도 보고 예상하던바대로 괴기스러웠고 한편으론 더 예뻣을듯한 도시가 박살난건가 싶은 아쉬움도 약간..
언제 기회되면 호텔 숙소 길건너였던 Trailblazers 경기한번 보러와야겠다는 생각도 잠깐들었다…(호텔에서 체크아웃한날이 아마 Raptors 경기였는지 심지어 BC에서 내려온 차들이 주차장 한가득이었다..)

Turned on ESPN at hotel – and found out familiar but unfamiliar faces – Oh man both of them got old and so do I 🙂
케이블을 끊은지 벌써 수십년째… 호텔이나 와야 오랜만에 진짜 옛날에는 매일 보던 ESPN을 보건만 케이블을 집에서 열심히 보던 시절 자주 봤던 얼굴들이 나와 반갑게 봤다…허나 둘다 세월은 비켜갈수 없구나란 생각… 🙂

Nice sports documentary on Vince Carter and Toronto – how he changed the city, even somewhat the nation with basketball. Now, the Canadian “Carter kids” are playing in NBA.
TMac과함께 제일 좋아했던 농구 아티스트 VC. 웃긴 이야기지만 나도 MBA나올때 UNC에 지원했던 이유중 하나는 Vince Carter였다…ㅎㅎㅎ

Walked to LA Live from Hotel – nice inner city sports & entertainment complex
여러 설명들이 있지만 Staples Center가 있고 류현진이 산다는 LA Live 🙂 Staples Center에는 하키의 전설 그리고 LA에서 하키선수 생활을 했던 Wayne Gretzky, Lakers의 전설인 Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal동상등등이 있는데 아직 Kobe 동상은 없더라…ㅎㅎㅎ
신기한게 극장 이름이 Microsoft Theater인데 살펴보니 Nokia인수의 부산물..ㅎ
