Palladium Pale Ale
요즘 인간적으로 너무 일이 많다.. 항상 서울에서 컨설턴트 하던 시절만큼 업무량이 많던 시절이 있으랴 했는데 요즘들어 그 기록을 깨는거 같다..
사실 24시간에서 먹고 자는 시간 빼고 잠시 숨좀 쉬러 house maintenance (잔듸 관리, 덱 관리)하는 한시간 정도의 ‘휴식’ 말고는 거의 항상 일하는중..-.-; 그러다 보니… 금요일 야밤에는 -토요일날 아침의 꿀맛같은 아침잠 + 최소한 토요일은 일하지 않으려는 의지로 필살기로 일한다- 옛날 서울 시절 습관(?)이었던 맥주 하나 까서 음주노가다.. (맨날 막내야 편의점에서 맥주사와라 하던 당시 권부장님…ㅎㅎ 사업 잘하고 계시곘지?..)
Crazy amount of workload in recent days are breaking my personal records of work hours I set during the old days of consulting in Seoul. Those days, Beer at office desk, was a great energy boosting companion or at least a small escape from the treadmill.
As the record high working hours continues day by day, naturally, that habitual ‘escape’ has also come back. 🙂 Beer is perfect for my Friday midnight oil burning – plus, a great energy/hope booster that I can enjoy the sweetest Saturday morning sleep & be unplugged for work on Saturday at least… 🙂

무지 바빴던 관계로 여유없이 보낸 작년 연말에 대한 보상(?)으로 나름 크게 준비해 애들 Winter Break주를 맞아하여 Eskimo 썰매를 타고 태평양 한가운데 있는 섬 중 하나로 홀연히 떠났다..
After crazy intense work load/pressure around year end at office, we decided to take a leap-of-faith into the island in Pacific with Eskimo led sledge. (Maybe one of the longest flight this Eskimo group handles :))

Is this ‘precaution’ because of the fact all of the kids on this class being Asian or am I thinking too far? (Come on if you were to do education business in Eastside, you gotta be mindful that 90%+ of your students are Asian..)
If I am not going too far, – shouldn’t they think about the potential ‘over thinking’ like I just did, before making a decision and sending this texts?
I am wondering whether I should respond that “I wish you don’t have any infections with this precaution and enjoy the healthy & long life and can you share me the basis you believe why Feb 1st works while 1/25 doesn’t for our safety” 😛
아이가 1주일에 한번 가는 학원에서 온 어이 없는 메세지… 애들이 다 Asian이긴한데… (Eastside에서 학원 사업하려면 당연한거지만…) 내가 오바해서 생각하는건지 – 한편 그렇다면 그걸 더 조심해서 메세지를 보내야 하는거 아닌가 싶기도 하고… ‘증말 조심해서 무병장수 하시길 기원하고 나도 건강 챙길겸 – 1/25은 위험한데 2/1이 괜찮은 이유좀 알려달라’고 답보낼까 말까 고민중..

Mrs. Doubtfire Musical at 5th Ave Theatre
Had a nice time at 5th Ave Theatre with Mrs. Doubtfire at the last day of 2019. -Also, surprised to learn this Seattle performance is world premiere & pre-Broadway tryout before it goes to officially to Broadway in the Spring. Oh Dear… 🙂
옛날 로빈 윌리엄스의 인생작 영화 중 하나였던 Mrs. Doubtfire. 뮤지컬로 재탄생해서 관람해주셨는데 자세히 보니 이게 이번에 Seattle에서 세계최초 & 시범 공연이란다.. (올봄 브로드웨이에서 시작할 예정)

머리털 나고 공연장에서 하는 가수 공연을 처음 – 것도 미국에서- 성발라께서 하는 공연을 갔다왔다… 연령대는 대부분 30-40대, 관객 남녀 성비 1:9, 시애틀 한국 언니 부대 대출동… ㅎㅎ
항상 성시경은 대충 불러도 잘 부르네라고 생각하고 그 유명한 “모다”와 2-3개 곡만 들으면 좋겠다고 생각하고 갔는데, 공연이어서 그런건지 아님 세월이 흘러 그런건지 정말 열심히 연주하고 노래하는게 인상적이었다. 🙂 물론 입담은 여전함..

Summer Road Trip 2019: Glacier National Park
5 days & 4 nights, 3 States, 2 time zones, and about 1300 miles of driving – all decided at the night before departure 🙂 For surely, unplanned road-trip amplifies the memories and fun.
고되긴 하지만 Roadtrip은 Roadtrip이 주는 기억과 맛이 있다.
이번 여행은 더구나 대충 3일전쯤에 휴가를 쓸수 있는게 결정되고, 아이들 개학전 마지막 주말을 끼고 어디로 갈까를 고민하다 출발하기 전날 밤에 목적지를 결정하고, 일정 짜고, 급하게 예약해서, 우격다짐으로 가서 그런지 더 무계획이 주는 맛도 추가였다.
