Followed the recipe from Korean Chinese cuisine chef’s to make American Chinese 🙂

이연복 Chef 채널에 나온걸 그대로 따라해서 만들었다… 진짜 쉽고 맛좋네… 단 첫 버전은 쌀국수를 한시간 담가 놓아도 전혀 물을 먹질 않아서…좀 딱딱하고 간이 잘 안배서 양념을 더 세게 치고 좀더 오래 볶았다…

Crowdstrike Pandemic

Today (7/20) at Seatac; super busy – unlucky travelers who just happen to book United, Delta, American and other LCCs are impacted the most and waiting for ridiculous long waiting line for rebooking their flights. (Plus they are killing all airline’s ground staffs)

This is just ridiculous – Watching this just boiled my blood whether Crowdstrike knows anything about deployment and claim they are cybersecurity experts?

이게 제정신인가 싶다…Cybersecury의 강자라 칭하는 회사가 하는 수준이 이정도인가 싶다… 이건 Test도 제대로 안하고 Deployment Phase도 없이 이따구로 한다는게 정말 어이가 없다… 게다가 이 사건 이후에 promotion도 걸었다… (그리고 지네가 싸질러놓고 아무것도 모르는 언론이나 대중에겐 Microsoft Cloud/Azure 탓이라고 몰아가려다 오늘 보니 …이게 당최 왜 Cloud operator의 문제인가?)

얼렁 이 회사의 모든 Enterprise 고객들이 이런 회사는 다시는 사업 못하도록 혼쭐내줬음 한다…

Boise, ID

Teton Village Gondola에서 내려와 들숨과 날숨을 다시 찾은 후 🙂 다시 집으로 향한 장정을 시작하여 Freeway 3개 노선과 State Road 몇개를 통과하면서 총 6시간 가량 운전하여 Boise에 도착해서 호텔로 직행…

사실 Teton에서 나올 때 이용해야되는 2500m 의 산악도로인 Teton Pass가 지날 예정이던날 한달전에 무너져서 돌아가는게 불가피하겠구나며 탄식을 했는데 기적적으로 예정일 일주일 전 즈음에 임시 복구가 되어 안돌아와도 되게 되었다… – 아마 미국 생활이 강산이 두번 바뀔때쯤 되었는데 이리 빨리 공사하는 건 처음 목격한듯 싶다…(역시 관광이 가장 큰 소득인지라 재빠르게 임시로나마 복구한듯 하고.. )

Wyoming DOT에 경의를 표하며 동시에 Idaho와 Wyoming의 광활함에 대한 통감 그리고 Teton부터 시작했던 끝없는 Snake River곁을 따라 달리며 무사히 Boise에 도착… (이강 Teton에서 시작해 Wyoming-Idaho/Oregon을 다 지나 Washington까지 와서 Columbia River를 만난다….)

Now back to the road to get-closer-to-home driving and stopped at Boise after 6 hours of driving multiple freeways and state roads along with endless Snake river which started from Teton –

Also, I need to admit this 6 hours of driving was actually a result of miraculous work as Teton Pass was landslided a month ago and only took ~3 weeks to build up the temporary bypass – Thanks to marvel engineering works and quick actions from Wyoming DOT (Big thank you!) – This is the fastest ever road engineering work I have noticed in US in last ~20 years 🙂

Alaska 246: Seattle to St. Louis

Now having a highschooler who learns various things means we have to send him to other states for multiple week long summer camp – Now I look back and even smile on the old days I was complaining to have “expensive” local summer camp when these kids were in elementary or so…

This year for my #2, it is 4 weeks in Midwest (and he needs to go to LA after this 🙂 ) so I had to resume the duty of transporting the kid to out of town 🙂 and due to conflicting schedule we decided to fly out to St. Louis on Friday afternoon.

Rather than getting ripped off at airport with hyper inflation impacted foods, we also tested Alaska’s in-flight meal (as this one is long haul – they graciously “sell” the meal with pre-order only:) ) which were Penang curry and Korean beef burger 🙂

방학이 되는 고등학생이 있다보니 이제는 뻑하면 타주로 행사를 가야하는데 이번 방학도 작년처럼 방학하자마자 첫주에 애를 “배송”하게 되었다. 🙂 근데 최종 행선지가 어차피 공항이 붙어 있는 도시가 아닌 떨어진 도시라 애를 혼자 보내는건 불가능하고 비행편 일정이 딱히 맞는게 없어 일단 St. Louis로 향해서 거기서 운전해 가는 방법 선택…

어차피 공항에서 말도 안되는 가격에 밥먹는거 털릴바엔 차라리 기내에서 사먹어보면 어떨까해서 장거리 국내선 노선에서 선주문만 받는 밥도 하나씩 사전 구매하고 받아먹었는데… Penang Curry는 한 6입 먹으면 끝이고 Korean Beef Burger는 어디가 Korean인지 잘모르겠다… (이제 슬슬 미국에서 뻑하면 Korean붙이는데 재미들린듯 한 현상이 가끔 보이는데 이것도 그런듯…ㅎㅎ)

뭐 그래도 기대안했는데 범죄도시3가 기내 영화 리스트에 있어 졸던 중 반쯤 감상.. (남은 반은 돌아오는 비행편에서 끝내주셨다..) 그 엄청나게 보던 초롱이 step을 실제로도 보긴 했지만 아무래도 장이수가 있어야 범죄도시가 아닐까 싶음…

미국 오자마자 미주리를 한번 가봤으니 거의 20년만에 미주리로 향해 주셨다…

Everything Everywhere All at Once

아주 오랜만에 Netflix에서 해치운 영화… ㅎㅎ 어우… 한줄평을 쓰자면 양자경 선생님께서 보여주신 영화 한편으로 Multiverse의 끝장판을 보여주는 영화… 🙂

처음엔 따라가느라 정신없고 머리가 아팠는데 뭐 솔솔한 재미로 마무리했다..

검정 베이글은 나도 별루 먹고 싶지는 않다……ㅎㅎㅎㅎ

Once in a while movie from Netflix – At first totally lost and confused but at the end finished it with following the storylines Yes this is the final boss of Multiverse in one single movie.

I don’t like black bagels neither 🙂

Seattle Symphony Side-by-Side with Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra

One benefit of being at higher level in SYSO is having an opportunity to work with professionals and other benefit for me is Seattle Symphony’s Benaroya Hall being next to my office 🙂

SYSO에서 Level이 높아지니 이런 기회도 있어 좋네 🙂 한편 Seattle Symphony가 공연하는 장소가 회사 정문 길건너라 이제는 더이상 Benaroya Hall에 주차를 하지 않고 근처에 저렴하거나 공짜로 Street 주차할 곳을 찾는 잔지식을 써먹을 수 있게 되었다.

2024 WMEA All State

둘다 고등학생이 되니 이제 일타 쌍피가 되었다…ㅎㅎ

암튼 격년으로 한번은 나름 주의 가장 지리적으로 중앙인 Yakima에서 하는데… (작년엔 우리동네인 Belleve와 Redmond에서…ㅎㅎ) 사실 Washington주의 인구는 대부분 서쪽 Seattle권이라 이게 뭐하는거지 싶기도 하다..

뭐 그래도 왕복 당일치기가 가능한 곳이니 괜찮다 치자..ㅎㅎ
