Finally the new chain & chain replacement tools have arrived so had a fun time playing with the bike. Now I wonder whether I should invest 100 for tuning the bicycle of 400 or not or DIY.. ๐
As kids had a winter break this week and my #2 had insisted to come here for long period, I had a day off from work and had a fun ski day. Fun ski day exploded with record knock out at Parachute slope which I slid down 1/3 of slope with my body in head-first posture. (and I am paying the price with pains in various body parts – left hip, chest, right neck etc – maybe the time when one doesn’t feel pain after a knock out in Ski slope is when one is in 20s or 30s ๐ )
All I asked to my son was “One day when you grow up, please remember your father who worked crazy hours carved out one full day to throw his body to fulfill your ask and fun :)”
Fine Presidents day biking end up with broken chains – lucky it happened almost close to home but painful ๐ Anyhow, my favorite local burger shop finally had a visitor who actually made first in-dining visit after few phone orders before, Meta had envying eyes on its new building in Bellevue, eBay and Amazon had new orders, and YouTube had increase in traffic of searching for bike chain replacement.
and I end up having a dirty hand from broken chain inspection process ๐
Good day to ski – Realized this was the first time I skied since pandemic and also the last time I had a regular/long ski was about 20+ years ago.. and I also realized actually I started to not hate the long lift lines which gives plenty of time to break and breathe ๐
Six Flags Magic Mountain at Santa Clarita/LA also has been on my wishlist for decades since my highschool/college years but now I am realizing I got old enough to say I had enough of these rides ๐ Fortunately or unfortunately, after the partial experience (because of winter season) and getting wet (with rains in last few hours), I rather loved the seafood noodle at Hong Kong Banjum at nearby after the visit ๐
