Took a long time to reach another 10k – starting from mid of last year I had to broke my personal commitment of 10k/ year … but here I am with late schedules – hopefully I can do a great catch-up around the year end…

Stumbled into this message at office (I make 1-2 hours visit to office on Thursdays to make sure I have stable connection..) upon trying to pick my favorite Ginger Ale from office fridge…. Another shortage thanks to Pandemic, Wipes, Hand Sanitizer, Masks, Toilet Tissues, Woods, and now Aluminum Cans?
Few years ago, WFH meant “I can not come to the meeting – and maybe or may not be even reachable”, while that is now “I am reachable and work 24 hours” π Thought Door Dash, Grubhub, Instacart kind of business’ going away is a matter of time, but they are flourishing.. Amazon slashed restaurant delivery and their PrimeNow was not in a good shape but now it is essential part of Amazon’s business..
Now Home Depot & Lowe’s are running high and price of wood has rocketed up..
Crazy amount of workload in recent days are breaking my personal records of work hours I set during the old days of consulting in Seoul. Those days, Beer at office desk, was a great energy boosting companion or at least a small escape from the treadmill.
As the record high working hours continues day by day, naturally, that habitual ‘escape’ has also come back. π Beer is perfect for my Friday midnight oil burning – plus, a great energy/hope booster that I can enjoy the sweetest Saturday morning sleep & be unplugged for work on Saturday at least… π
About a week of 100% WFH – I am so glad that I brought the extra monitor and mini bay to home to connect to my laptop π long term WFH without extended monitor would have been a nightmare π
This longer term WFH has been imposing lot of fun challenges – had to face lots of messages and emails (which would have been a direct conversation at office) and extra emphasis on communication -which is always tough..
Back to continuous “in room” working and sleeping..:)
