Long story short without any spoiler – Walked into the theater without single word of knowledge but absolutely a great movie and must see.
Maybe one personal factor – watching Spiderman series had always been a stone in my stomach for years (because of ….) but now I am totally free from that.. 🙂
긴말 필요없다 – 아무것도 모르고 영화관에 들어갔는데…. 꼭 보세요들!!
(한편 항상 불편한 마음으로 보던 스파이더맨을 부담 1도 없이 봐서 더 즐거웠는지도…ㅎㅎㅎ)

Another pandemic WFH day, another to-go lunch. 🙂 This fried chicken has been a while and now I started to wonder what I haven’t tried so far at home 🙂
Well actually this is another left-over finishing lunch. 😉 helping me to enjoy the ‘cleaning’ feeling.
Ezell’s has been a good local southern style fried chicken for years – however, thanks to the ‘level up’ of fried chicken from Chick-Fil-A driven Chicken Burger wars across franchises and wave of Korean Fried Chicken in recent years, the tastiness of this chicken seems to diminishing 🙂
이제 거의 2년째 재택근무 돌입한 결과…. 초반에는 그나마 바깥바람 쐬려고 여기저기 투고를 다녔다가.. 그것도 일일이 주문하기도 귀찮아지고 바쁘기도 하고 (애들도 학교에 가는 관계로 집에 사람도 적고..)해서 그냥 집에서 먹거나 그냥 스킵…ㅋㅋ
뭐 한편 점심에 전날 먹고 남은 음식 찾아 냉장고 뒤지서 해치우면서 뿌듣해하는 재미도 하나 생겼다..ㅎㅎㅎ Ezell 치킨도 먹어본지 몇년만인데…나름 미국 Southern 스타일을 동네에서 파는 가게인데… 이제 미국에서도 프라이드 치킨의 수준이 올라가서인지 (칙필레를 필두로한 수많은 Fastfood가게들의 치킨버거 전쟁과 한국식 치킨을 파는 가게들의 혁혁한 공이라고 본다…) 뭐 다시 먹는건 또 한참후가 되지 않을까 싶다..ㅎㅎ

우리집은 커피 머신이 두개 하나는 에스프레소용 하나는 그라운드 드립 커피용… 아무래도 드립커피는 Work From Home할때 벌컥벌컥 들이키는 커피용으로 사용하다보니 맛보다도 가성비를 찾는데 아무래도 할인 행사를 하는 커피를 주로 찾게 된다..
이 와중에 주문해본 El Yodito – Costa Rica커피다.. Amazon 리뷰를 보면 이거에 설탕이 들어갔네 뭔상관이네 하고 말들이 많은데… 먹어본 느낌은 설탕까지는 모르겠고 살짝 단느낌이 있긴한데 (자세히 리뷰를 읽어보니 원두를 볶을때 설탕을 첨가하는 커피라고는 하는데…) 단거보다는 커피맛에 단맛이 나는 과일을 씹어먹는 느낌이 팍 다가온다…
(뭐 한편 옛날 서울에서 프로젝트하던 시절..설탕 고객들 조사하다 딸기 영농조합 나온거보고 궁금해서 물어본 결과 당도를 높이려고 설탕을 딸기밭에 뿌린다고 해서 아하 싶었는데 비슷하려느니 생각해보기도 한다…ㅎㅎ)
뭐 virtually 커피한잔으로 Costa Rica에 갔다온셈치자..ㅎㅎ

맨날 I-90종점에서 사는 인생인데.. I-10종점을 향해 달려가고 있다.. 직접 몰아보기는 처음이고 아마 이근처를 지나간건 자그마치 2000년에 미국에 출장 왔다 비행기 타기전 몇일간 들렸을때이니 21년 3개월전이구나..ㅎㅎㅎ
지금 생각하면 어이가 없었지만 출장 왕복 비행기표를 여행사에서 귀국 비행기 자리배정 없이 표를 끊은채 “출장가셔서 계속 전화해보셔서 자리 확정하세요”해서 결국 귀국 예정일 보다 늦게 LA에서 비행기표 자리날때까지 지인 집에서 몇일 대기..ㅎㅎ 회사/팀에선 도데체 이넘 언제 오는거야란 고성이 오고 갔었다고 함…ㅎㅎ
(그래도 생각해보면 뭐 1-2주를 더 있던것도 아니고 한 3일 정도인가 더 있으면서 지인 집에 기거했는데 호텔 비용아껴준건데 싶기도 하다…게다가 그때 나름 remote로 email도 쓰고 했던 기억이 있는디…)

Funny story but I do believe I remember the exact days I was here; because I was doing overbooking stand-by at LA (had to call airline’s reservation desk everyday mornings and nights) to get the seat confirmation.. [and I have been told that I was yelled a lot from office… 🙂 but it was travel agency’s fault – and not mine, and I even saved the company’s money by staying at my friend’s place…]

Although I miss lots of things from my old workplace, and one of the most – so far – is the fact I am far away from launch of great games in service. I have been extremely close in monitoring tons of game launches at old place and actually have watched myself adjusting the ‘tie’ both intentionally or unintentionally after I departed.
However, missing the opportunity to closely monitor the launch of Forza Horizon 5 is one of the biggest thing among those – Forza Horizon series never disappoints & the beautiful & fun/casual driving experience is always fun. As I am not close any more, didn’t jump into this game immediately at launch but made an effort to jump in at this weekend. This reminds me one of the big shift of mind I made when deciding this transition – ‘Gaming is truly personal interest for a while from now’ 🙂
사실 이번 이직은 너무나 변화가 큰 이직이라 많은게 아직 낯설고 정서적으로는 예전걸 그리워하는 것들이 종종 있다.. (실제로 회사 access가 끊긴 첫날 좀 당황해주셨음…) 이런 그리움은 사실 날마다 의식적으로든/무의식적으로든 점점 무뎌져 가긴 하는데 , 여전히 제일 아쉬운점으로 남은 건 Forza Horizon 5 launch를 보지 못하고 나온 점이다.. 이 게임은 정말이지 예술이다.. 그리고 당분간 ‘게임은 단순 고객의 입장에서… :)’로 생각을 정리한점이 다시 떠오른다..

I personally have never been associated any red in my life.. 🙂 Grown up from the country hates red, and went to both college and MBA where color was blue… and even I worked for company called themselves as Big Blue… 🙂 Maybe the closest one might be magenta.. 🙂

긴장속에서 첫주가 지났다.. 생각해보니 평생을 거의 빨간건 좋아하지 않는 분위기에서 성장 및 교육(학부 -웃긴 이야기지만 정말 지하철역도 없으면서 빨강색이 별로여서 빨강 학교가 사실 친구들도 더 많았고 입학에도 유리한 점이 많았음에도 구지 파랑 학교를 갔다… ㅎㅎ-와 MBA 둘다…) 받고 심지어 회사를 칭할때 파랑색이라 일컫는 회사에서도 생활을 했는데 제대로 빨갱이 물 한번 주욱 적셔 주신다…

진정한 백수 – 일하는 시간에 동네 한바퀴… 아쉬운건 이젠 주변에 화장실이나 음료수를 마음껏 꺼내 마실 곳이 없다..ㅎㅎ 🙂
