Joker & Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw

휴가 가는 6.5시간 비행기에서 때마침 보고싶던 영화 두편 감상… (+Amazon Fire Tablet에 gogo entertain app깔아서 아주 유용하게 사용..ㅎㅎ)

Joker: 이거 좀 명작인듯 싶다.. 물론 약간 잔인한 장면도 있지만 이야기 전개가 아주 탄탄함; 약간 오버하자면 거의 내가 조커인지 조커가 나인지 하는 우는 심정으로 봤다..-o-;

F&F: 오락영화의 명불허전 F&F 날라다니는 두 배우 보는맛 + 이 영화의 촬영지이자 이번 여행의 목적지였던 Kauai 사전학습 효과도..

Watched great 2 movies on the 6.5 hour long flight. Joker made me wonder whether I am the Joker or Joker is me 🙂 and F&F which always fulfill its name and picture taken at flight’s destination.

Alaska 879: Seattle to Lihue

무지 바빴던 관계로 여유없이 보낸 작년 연말에 대한 보상(?)으로 나름 크게 준비해 애들 Winter Break주를 맞아하여 Eskimo 썰매를 타고 태평양 한가운데 있는 섬 중 하나로 홀연히 떠났다..

After crazy intense work load/pressure around year end at office, we decided to take a leap-of-faith into the island in Pacific with Eskimo led sledge. (Maybe one of the longest flight this Eskimo group handles :))

모든 여정을 마치고 집에 가는길.. 비행시간과 식사시간이 애매한데 공항에서 구지 뭘 사먹긴 그저그럴듯해서 Alaska Airline 음식을 선주문해서 시켜먹었다.. 9불짜리 샌드위치인데 뭐 맛 괜찮았음.. 🙂

덤으로 올때 졸면서 봐서 기억이 가물가물한 Oceans 8 다시 봐주심..

After 4 nights and 5 days of DC, going back to home with coast to coast flight.

San Diego에서 출발한지 대략 5시간 감기약 먹은 병아리처럼 졸다가 도착한 볼티모어인지 워싱턴인지 애매한 정체성을 자랑하는 공항.. 그러고 보니 Maryland 땅 밟아본지 어여 20년하고도 몇년 더..헐…진짜 나이 많이 먹었다..ㅎ BWI공항에 내려서 BW파크웨이를 따라 DC로…

Can’t believe last time I was stepping into state of Maryland was 20+ years ago?!

Alaska 436: Seattle to San Diego & San Diego International Airport

Thanks to Saturday morning schedule and no direct red-eye route from Seattle to DC, had to go thru airport-only-San Diego-for-an-hour as a transit in trip to DC. Transit-in-a-while obviously did cause missing of baggage upon arrival at BWI. 😦

Benefit of mega V-drawing detour was watching the Crazy Rich Asians thru gogo as a crazy poor Asian… 🙂 – Simple Cinderella story but surprised by limited hearing of Singlish-la…?

Seattle에서 DC로 가는 Red-Eye flight이 없는 관계로 San Diego를 경유해서 DC로 가는 일정.. (미국 땅끝을 V자를 그리며 감..) 덕분에, 한 시간 이나마 -물론 공항안에만 있었지만- San Diego 경유… (결국 오랜만에 탑승한 경유편은 짐가방 miss를 도래했다능…T_T)

비행중엔 Crazy Rich Asians 감상.. (오 언제적 예스마담/와호장룡의 양자경 등장..ㅎㅎ 늙었네 싶다가도 나도 나이가 얼만가 했음..ㅎㅎ) 심플한 신데렐라 스토리인데 생각보단 Singlish가 별로 안들려 당황스럽기도 함..

Great Customer Service & Fun Gurantee from Alaska Airlines

Screenshot_20180731-174015_Twitter As Alaska being my favorite airline – well, I live in Seattle and had histories of “challenges” whenever I took Delta :), I have always wondered whether this gurantee works or not – but I had no chance to check as all my luggage came within 20 min.. 🙂 However, at this time on the flight from Boston, I noticed my bag came late – maybe around 25 min since we “officially” landed.

As I was in a hurry to leave the airport -late night arrival with families – I didn’t have the luxury of waiting in line and report this to Alaska at airport which is the official T&Cs calls out.

Anyhow after arriving at home, I just “twitted” to check my luck and guess what happened: immediate response and at next day I got a reward of 2,500 miles 🙂

알라스카 항공은 재미있게도 수화물 20분 개런티를 한다.. 🙂 – 항공기 도착 이후 20분안에 짐이 안나오면 마일리지 2,500마일 보너스로 제공…

근데, 신기할 정도로 항상 20분 안에 나오는데 -참고로 지난번엔 한 번은 처음 20분 넘었다고 좋아했는데 수화물 나오는 장소가 변경되서 나만 엉뚱한 곳에서 기다린거였음…..ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

암튼, 지난 번 보스턴에서 돌아오는 길에 비행기 뒷좌석에 앉은 관계로 천천히 나왔음데도 불궇 수화물을 좀 기다리면서 20분 넘은거 같다는 생각이 들었는데.. 대충 계산해보니 25분에 나온 듯해서, claim하는 방법을 확인해 보니 공항에서 보고해야한다고 해서 포기하려다가…. 혹시나 하는 마음에 집에와서 트윗 한번 날렸는데 바로 답오고 마일리지를 받았다..헐…

After all another back to home flight with nice Lego Movie & nice “Virgin America” Sandwich.

모든 일정을 마치고 돌아오던 길.. 공짜영화를 감상해주시고.. (꿀잼) 공항으로 가는 길이 막혀서 늦은 관계로 비행기에서 샌드위치를 사먹었는데 이상하게 한달이 다 되어가는데 샌드위치값이 카드로 청구가 안들어온다… 고맙긴 한데 왠지 죄지은 느낌… ㅡ.ㅡ;

Alaska 1788: Seattle to Los Angeles

Thought the Eskimo Smile would be bringing me down but found out it was Red Sir Richard Branson 🙂

At the end this happen to be the first time of flying in Virgin America almost after 10 years since last time – believe I took Virgin once when it launched in Seattle, and also believe this might be highly likely the last red flight I might take as they are about to be rebranded as Alaska.. 🙂 Gonna miss the great entertainment system, fun & hipster safety video performance, and purple/blue neon lights in cabin.

엥 Alaska인줄 알고 예약했는데 공항에 와보니 Virgin이네…Virgin이 Seattle에 처음 취항했을 때 타본게 마지막이니 대략 10년만인듯.. 비행기는 이제 많이 낡았지만 훌륭한 -미국 국내선에선 볼수 없는- 훌륭한 엔터테인먼트 시스템, 눈을 뗄수 없는 안전시연 비디오, 화려한 형광색 조명도 이제는 역사의 뒤안길로 사라질듯 싶다.

Alaska나 Virgin이나 저가항공은 아니지만 저가항공의 Operation 교과서와 같은 단일 기종 비행사인데.. Alaska는 Boeing 737, Virgin은 전부 Airbus 320. 꿀꺽한 회사의 정책을 따라가는 M&A를 볼때 Virgin의 흔적들은 조만간 다 사라질듯… 아 MBA 전략 수업시간에 배운 Southwest case는 첫수업이어서 아직도 생생하다.. 🙂
