This was the 4th nail in Tesla’s tire in last 20 months of ownership – The more I think, I come to conclusion that something is seriously wrong with design of this vehicle (or Continental tires?) …. I never had these many nails with other cars…
Tesla’s strict tire repair rules without buyback policy in junction with expensive Continental tire’s price, plus vehicle not having a spare/emergency tire, forced me to try rounds of temporary patch at this time as all tires have been progressing to end of life after two random single new tire replacement in last year.
First attempt of using with strip method totally failed ๐ but screw & bond method finally made me believe I bought enough time till Costco ordered new tire’s arrival…
Did the emergency repair on the rotten & broken wood deck ๐ endless battle against the water (from the gutter) and squirrels who had built a huge vault of pine cones under the deck ๐
After years of neglecting the weed and moss management, I finally grabbed the various gardening tools to start the fight. This should be a season long and multi week project but I am ready to fight…
Maybe at the week of Thanksgiving – our fence gave it up to wet/rainy environment and lay flat ๐ฆ so as a bandaid – did a quick repair. The problem was two post got rotten and twisted (because of weight of fence) so had to do some attachment to hold the bars tight and dismantled every piece and kind of reconstructed. Still looks ugly but at least it is standing ๐
