One long due tasks of replacing garage door’s spring finally happened or to be exact, forced – and chew up my early part of long weekend ๐ Luckily and safely no major damages happened when this spring failed.. so used Amazon to order and get educated ๐
My kid said it was a simple hump over the pedestrian walkway while he made a turn. So I thought simple replacement of torn down windshield water tank replacement will do.
After having a look at inside the hood and replacing the torn down windshield fluid tank, I ended up finding out the pump is broken as well as the pin and nut for front and under towing hook also got broken. ๐ฆ
So I need to bring this to mechanics and this is failed or partial repair only ๐ฆ
All in all my Sonata is becoming a Cubanized vehicle ๐
After years of having different “ears”, now my Sonata has same ears ๐ (with aftermarket parts) The most irritating part is actually coloring the ears to vehicle’s color – Glad I have replaced the other side years ago and still has the colorings ๐
As my Tesla Y being closer to 2 years mark – I realized something is starting smell and I never changed air filters on model Y as Tesla doesn’t requires any ‘regular’ maintenance such as Oil change ๐ so as poor family man decided to go with DIY path
Y has, surprisingly, two types of filters like same as ICE vehicle: Cabin and Intake (I do not understand why Electric requires two though ๐ ) but ordered two types and evaporator cleaner as well
After watching several Youtube videos of changing each (which ~15min each for Cabin and Intake) – as usual- took total ~3 hours to finish both replacements:) haha yes ‘1 short video taking 1 hour or so’ rules are still effective ๐
