There was lot of stories on my workout during last Summer –
On one summer night which I clearly remember, because I was debating whether to go to gym at night or not, I decided to go and my locker got broken into and the bad folks stole my wallet and tried to use all the cards with ridiculous amounts at local grocery store. Thanks to all credit cards’ fraud protections, I got to realize that pretty fast (almost real time via SMS) while I was at gym and reported immediately to gym and local- Issaquah Police.
At the end, I lost some personal memory attached stuffs in the wallet, had to be on the phone to every card companies in the midnight (thanks to them they blocked all attempts), reapply driver license and and had to replace my Tesla key card etc.. and also lost some cash in the wallet. ๐ฆ
The most disappointing things was gym manager complaining to me on next day on a call that they had too many breakouts on that day (and no follow ups) and Issaquah police not even asking me to provide all the evidence which can identify who picked my wallet and tried to use my credit cards – I was trying to send all the information of this event (I even talked to local grocery managers that he has all close caption videos on it) but Issaquah police never reached out to me for those even though I tried to reach them multiple times. Big lesson learned – hire a lawyer if anyone wants the work on “Misdemeanor” get progressed.
Anyhow – I had to stop the workout because of travels and also out of disappointment on the gym; simply somewhat I found myself staring at everyone else in gym ๐ but came to realize I will lose to myself if I stop the workout because of this.. now decided to restart while keeping all my belongings near me and not bring my wallet to workout ๐
Anyhow 3 major lessons learned
Happy to be back to running 3.3 miles per day ๐
Realized how broke the crime and police system are…
We finally had a parting moment with our lovely family car Odyssey after 17 years from the moment we brought it home. We had lots of fun and too many adorable memories attached to this mini van which never hesitated to drive us all around the places we went and acumulated 210k miles afterwards.
Now The Oddy is on new owners hand – hopefully serving their needs in, maybe, few remaining years of its life. ๐ One big milestone or end of chapter for our families bittersweet – ToT
Luckily or unluckily, navigation after getting out of camp was suggesting us to take route to home via Olympia due to traffic accident on shortest cut ๐ so used this as an opportunity to clear off last remaining unexplored portion of US-101 in Washington
Passed thru amazing scenery of Hood canal and stopping over at Taylor Shellfish market was a bonus ๐
