iHealth KN95 Face Mask

Interestingly Wyze the manufacturer of Wyze cam started to sell KN95 masks, so I had no idea but bought it. and now I realize KN is Chinese Standard (I thought this was a KF.. Korean Standard)

So started with a little concern that quality report/certificate being in Chinese 🙂 but at the same time part of my thought was “This is the masks people use at the ‘origin'(?) of this- or to be exact where this first started” so all of sudden gave me a good confidence – maybe another ‘halo effect’? 🙂 Yes I am the stupid customer still prefer to pick Haagen Dazs than others because of the brand name being German… 🙂

Anyhow – good mask.. especially for people like me who have a large head/face 🙂 – I have a big head and have to have bigger than 7 1/2 for fitted cap…

한동안 예전에 병원에서 집어왔던 마스크를 쓰다가 나름 제대로 된 마스크를 지난달부터 구매해서 쓰는 중.. 중국어로 합격증이 써져있어 더 신뢰가 안되는…(ㅋㅋㅋ) 감이 없잖아 있기도 하지만 이상하다 생각해서 찾아보니 KN이 한국표준인줄 알고 주문했는데 중국 표준이라 하는구만..ㅎㅎㅎ 한국표준은 KF…아놔…

뭐 한편으론 원산지(?) – 정확히는 최초로 시작된곳- 에서 온 제품이니 좋을거라는 이유없는 후광효과에 믿음이 생기기도 했다… (난 아직도 경영학 교과서에도 수없이 배웠지만 아직도 하겐다즈가 제일 맛있는 아이스크림이라 생각한다..) 신기한건 Wyze Cam만드는 회사에서 파는거라는점..

암튼 뭐 쓸만하고 좋다.. 대두족인 나에게 잘 맞아서 만족..ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ (미국에서 만드는 마스크는 항상 쓰고 나면 귀뒤가 아프다….ㅎㅎㅎ)

History in Closet Cleanup: 옷장 정리

옷장 정리중 발견한 유물급들 옷… 다 사연있는 옷들이다… 2006년 월드컵 경기보러 갔다가 San Jose에서 받은 Helio 티, 2010년 T-Mobile시절 Promo티, 2010년 삼성 갤럭시 S 첫모델 출시때 회사에서 받은 티, 그리고 1999년 대학4학년때 시애틀에 학교 행사 왔다가 잠옷을 안챙겨와 U District Bookstore에서 급하게 산 헐렁이 반바지.. (이때 이렇게 될줄 알았나…ㅎㅎ)

All historic shirts and pant found out during closet cleanup – Helio from 2006 Worldcup watching event, 2010 T-mobile Kids are Free shirt during T-mobile Add-a-line promo, 2010 Samsung Galaxy S-T-mobile launch shirt, UW pants I bought at University Bookstore at the Ave in 1999 as a event visiting student (and found out I didn’t bring my pajama pants) – never imagined I end up living at here 🙂

오 이런 진주가 숨어있었다니… 항상 관심있게 봐온 중동사와 첩보 스릴러가 버무려진 영화가 있었네… 영화에서 어느정도 미화/각색을 했을거라 얼마정도는 진실과 다르겠거니 생각은 하지만 아무기대없이 봤다가 술술 다 봤다…

Another nice find at Netflix…. history+spy action 🙂 I don’t know whether the reality of this story is a story of opportunistic traitor or peace maker but good enough movie to watch for..

Tipsy Cow Burger Bar

First attempt to eat out after the day before lockdown.. – and luckily this was right after the phase 2 was initialed and before the BLM movement/Memorial day started; so before the “resurge” – ate at outside bench, tasted great, but felt nervous as hell 😦 as there are lots of people walking around (and obviously not everyone is taking masks) and had to take the my mask off while eating.. so personally decided that I am not mentally ready to pretend to be back to normal ..

At the end, I wondered whether we can go back to old days of eating without any fear..

지난달말 몇 달만에 봉쇄가 일부 완화된 이후 처음으로 가족들과 한 외식… 이때만 해도 재창궐하기 이전이라 (George Floyd/BLM 및 Memorial Day 이전) 오랜만에 맛있는 버거흡입해 주러 나썼는데…

여전히 마스크 안쓰고 다니는 인간들 때문에 버거가 입으로 들어갔는지 어디로 들어갔는지 기억이 잘 나지 않았다.. 언제쯤 마음의 여유를 가지고 일상으로 돌아갈수 있을까 궁금하다…

Old Note from Orientation Day at Business School

Happen to found an old note I took during MBA orientation session back in Ann Arbor like 15 years ago, while cleaning up the shelf.. – This note even has a coffee cup mark 🙂

I don’t even recall what the professor’s name was (because I recall he was mentioning he is moving to Tuck school after the orientation session) but this notes stroke me for a min. especially the first line of “Live a dream”

Making me think maybe the most important thing at business school is already learned at orientation days

이사준비 과정에서 짐정리하는 와중에 발견한 MBA Orientation Session note – 15년전으로 타임머신을 타고 돌아갔다왔다..기억으로는 이건 전체 session이 아니고 개별 section session이었는데 하필 다른 학교로 떠나는 교수님이 마지막 일로 진행하는 session – 지금도 -교수님 성함도 기억안나는게 안타깝긴하지만- 이 수업에 왜인지 모를 울림이 아직도 생생했는데 Dream으로 시작해서 그랬나보다..

결국 나에게는 모든게 고난의 행군 여정이었던 MBA 과정 – 어여 강산이 한번 반이 바뀌었지만, 기억에 남는건 이런거 구나 싶기도 하고 이때 꿈꿨던 모습으로 살고 있는지 궁금하다.

노트 한가운데 떡하니 있는 Coffee Mark에 진한 커피한잔이 땡겨 쭈욱들이키며 다시 읽어보았다..ㅎㅎ

Yesterday

One of the movie on my checklist crossed out during this pandemic – now I really realize there is no new movie at all with this pandemic and carefully forecast world might be likely this way for an year or so..

Good movie – as expected liked the songs in the one. (Although story was somewhat expected or you can see what the movie’s end will look like….if I have to pick any WOW there was one scene unexpected but won’t write it up as it becomes a spoiler… 🙂 )

새로운 영화개봉이 없는 관계로 봄직했던 영화들도 다 본거 같아서 뭐가 빠졌을까 하다가 생각난 영화 Yesterday. 어찌보면 뻔한 이야기에 뻔한 결론인거 같아 싱거울수도 있긴했지만 음악이 좋아서 별무리없이 봤다. (하지만 우와~ 이런건 없는게 아쉽다면 아쉬운점-구지 꼽는다면 한장면이 있지만 스포일러라 구지 이야기하진 않겠음..ㅎㅎ)
