Summit Central at Snoqualmie

Everyone in my family except me started the ski lesson on Saturday morning from last week for 6 week schedule so I also decided (and somewhat forced) to come to mountains every weekend. I was debating between coffee-and-reading and snowboarding but end of doing the season rent for snowboard and season pass for lift. Good to be back on the board! 🙂

뭐 속도를 올린다거나 새로운 스킬을 시도한다거나 하지는 않겠지만 또 언제 해보겠냐란 생각에 보드를 잡았다..게다가 애들도 보고 있으니 한국에선 잘 쓰지도 않던 헬멧도 장착… 오토바이에 가스통만 들고 다니면 완전 ㅎㅎ

근데 아무리 신경 안쓸려고 노력해도 이넘의 부실한 미국 리프트 시스템은 이해가 안가고 불안해 죽겠다..

1) 일단 안전바가 없고 망도 없다… 나같은 open space 고소 공포증 있는 사람은 죽음이다.. 정말 엉덩이 의자에 바짝대고 앉아 피가 마른다..

2) 보드는 꼭 한발에 끼고 타야하니 내릴 때 한발이 풀린 채 불안한 자세로 곧장 sliding을 해야한다.. 게다가 리프트가 높아지면 부츠채로 빠지지 않을까 심히 걱정된다.. 한국처럼 그냥 들고타게 하면 안될까?

One more day of Disney… didn’t know picking up the Fast Pass of Radiator Springs Racers was a good idea or not (picked up at 9:30 AM and got 6:45 PM Fast Pass) but turned out to be saving tons of hours (stand by waiting time 240 min?!!)

근데 첫번째 사진은 옛날 컨설팅시절 제안서 표지에서 본듯한 풍경이다..ㅎㅎ

Another day of getting killed in line.. started with line at parking lot to park shuttle, security check, entrance and numerous rides 🙂

Space Mountain 85 min, Bobsled 90 min, Indiana Jones 90 min, Star Tour 60 min… 🙂

기다림의 끝판왕 디즈니 도착… 12시 폐장까지 버티다 왔으니 성공?

Universal Studios Hollywood

12월26일 크리스 마스 다음날 방문한 Universal Studio Hollywood- 운이 좋게도 공짜표를 써서 비싼 호텔에서 1박했는데 아침부터 붐비는 Park입구를 보니 장난 아니겠다 라고 생각은 했음..and 결국은 사람에 치여다님..

물론 생각만큼 부지런히 시작하지는 못했지만 그래도 아침부터 시작해서 왠만한건 다 탔고… 아예 입장하는 순간부터 대기시간 1시간을 공지한 문제의 해리포터는 2시간을 기다려 탑승…평소같으면 그냥 front of the line pass를 인단 $70주고 탔겠지만 문제는 이 가격이 25일부터는 2배…ㅎㄷㄷ 그래서 그냥 주구장창 기다리기로 했다..

점심때 되니 공원은 이미 폭발 지경… 왠만한 라이드는 1시간 대기는 기본에 밥사는 줄도 한시간즘 걸릴듯하여 줄이 제일 짧았던 심슨 도너츠 가게에서 호머심슨이 먹는 도너츠 시식..ㅎㅎㅎ

해리포터 구역은 정말 인산인해..T_T 2시간 기다린 Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.. 애들은 스릴 없다고 불만..ㅋㅋ 흑흑 하루종일 호구된 느낌..

Going theme park right after Christmas is full of F.U.N… taught me importance of being patient and waiting in line for everything… crazy 12 hours of waiting in line for everything 🙂  Plus this waiting saved lots of moola – front of the line pass for $140 seems crazy…

항상 여기를 지날때면 We Built this City 노래가 생각나면서 intern중 마지막 2일동안 San Rafael에서 Santa Clara로 출퇴근하다가 차에서 죽는줄 알았던 기억도 난다..

중3땐가 고1땐가 아침 알람으로 해놨던 라디오에서 나오는 노래 가사를 처음으로 알아듣고 Golden Gate Bridge가보고 싶다란 생각이었는데.. 이 인생 이렇게 될줄이야..ㅎ

Golden Gate Bridge and the traffic on the bridge always reminds me the song with lyrics of… “Marconi plays the mamba, listen to the radio, don’t you remember?”

Started with dark cloud end up being sunny..
