Ann Arbor 2026

뭐 Detroit도착하고 시간 여유가 있으니 뭐하겠나…참새가 방앗간 못지나치듯 파블로프의 개처럼  default로 공항에서 나와 무조건 I-94타고 West로 달려 Ann Arbor로 향하는 나를 발견한다…

뭐 작년 이맘때 설레는 마음+수험생 가족의 절실한 마음으로 왔다 보니 주구장창 학교 안만 보다왔는데 이번엔 날씨도 그렇게 춥지도 않고해서 학교주위가 어케 바뀌었나 커피 한잔 사들고 탐방을 했다…

Trip to Detroit always starts with driving to Ann Arbor 🙂 this is like Pavlov’s dog experiment for me… as this visit being a recent second visit, now things around the campus and the city started to catch my attentions so walk around the outer part of campus with a cup of coffee

Driving Detroit Area & Zingermann’s

나름 이번 출장에서 혼자 재미 있었던건 한동안 잊고 살던 길이름 혹은 동네 이름들을 마주치는 것이었다….Woodward Telegraph Grand River … 수십년전에 그냥 지나간 길 이름들이 오랜만이야 하고 말걸어오는듯…. 익숙하지 않은 동네에서 기억에 의존해 길을 다니는 재미(?)도 좋았다…

인간은 추억을 먹고산다는 말이 맞는듯…

그래도 고픈배와 출장비로 먹을수 있는 마지막 한끼를 위해 공항가는 길에 방앗간촌에 들려 Zingermann’s의 맛좋은 루벤 샌드위치 하나 순삭하고 다시 공항으로 향했다…

One good memory lane experience of this business trip was encountering the random but familiar street names and town names which I have encountered decades ago…

Road names like Telegraph Woodward Grand River felt like roads were waving to me 🙂

Yes humans live from the past memories…so drove to Ann Arbor to fill my stomach with real memory food from Zingermann’s on the way to airport

US23 to Ann Arbor

Interlochen에서 밤늦게 나온 후 소싯적 뻔질나게 분유와 물사러 다니던 Costco가 있는 Brighton에서 하룻밤을 보내고 난 다음날 아침… 날씨는 우중충했지만 정말 친숙했던 이름들의 도시와 길을 향해 진입… 여기부턴 GPS도 필요 없었다..

얼마만에 들어보는 이름인지… 추억의 The Ride도 보였다….ㅎㅎ

After departing from Interlochen, new day started from Brighton – Despite gloomy weather, every names on plates were too familiar and I turned off the GPS.

SunBerry Farms Passion Orange Guava POG Nectar

옛날부터 구아바가 들어간 쥬스는 항상 찾아 먹어왔는데… 코스트코에서 아무생각없이 집은 POG 쥬스… 어디 멕시코나 어디서 만들어 수입했나 싶어서 봤더니….. Brighton, MI?!! 물론 거기서 만들었을까 싶다만 어쨌건 제조사의 주소는 Brighton – 열대 과일 음료를 파는 회사가 Michigan에 있는건 좀 이해가 잘 안되긴 한다만은 덕분에 잠시 추억의 기차를 타고 Ann Arbor에 갔다왔다…ㅎㅎ

I cannot avoid any POG juice as it contains Guava – picked this one up from Costco and even surprised to find out the company’s address is shown as Brighton MI..What?! POG juice from company addressed in Brighton.. 🙂

Enjoyed the taste of juice and memory train ride to of US-23 from Ann Arbor to Brighton (Funny fact: most of my Brighton memories are actually from Costco Warehouse at there:) )

Quick Trip to Toronto

졸업하면 I-20가 만료되어 미국바같을 못나간다고 해서… Toronto 한번 갔다 왔다.. 오 진즉에 자주올걸 하는 아쉬움도…. (이제 아쉬워 무엇하리..-.-)

뭐 사실 날씨도 그렇고 해서 결국 CN타워에서 멋진 저녁 한번 먹고 도시 구경하고 왔다… 🙂

그러고 보니 태현이의 첫 International Trip이기도 하네..ㅋㅋ
