Forza Horizon 5

Although I miss lots of things from my old workplace, and one of the most – so far – is the fact I am far away from launch of great games in service. I have been extremely close in monitoring tons of game launches at old place and actually have watched myself adjusting the ‘tie’ both intentionally or unintentionally after I departed.

However, missing the opportunity to closely monitor the launch of Forza Horizon 5 is one of the biggest thing among those – Forza Horizon series never disappoints & the beautiful & fun/casual driving experience is always fun. As I am not close any more, didn’t jump into this game immediately at launch but made an effort to jump in at this weekend. This reminds me one of the big shift of mind I made when deciding this transition – ‘Gaming is truly personal interest for a while from now’ 🙂

사실 이번 이직은 너무나 변화가 큰 이직이라 많은게 아직 낯설고 정서적으로는 예전걸 그리워하는 것들이 종종 있다.. (실제로 회사 access가 끊긴 첫날 좀 당황해주셨음…) 이런 그리움은 사실 날마다 의식적으로든/무의식적으로든 점점 무뎌져 가긴 하는데 , 여전히 제일 아쉬운점으로 남은 건 Forza Horizon 5 launch를 보지 못하고 나온 점이다.. 이 게임은 정말이지 예술이다.. 그리고 당분간 ‘게임은 단순 고객의 입장에서… :)’로 생각을 정리한점이 다시 떠오른다..

Eternals, Lego Eternals, & 귀싸대기

Not a huge fan of Marvel but one of our brothers loves to watch and the other’s friend is the same way.. so end up watching at theater almost every Marvel movie.. (Can’t we settle with Disney+ with some wait??…)

One of the joy of watching at the theater around launch/release date is not getting spoiled from/by anything – while I was just about to be spoiled by Lego brochure – which I picked up from the mail few days before the movie and actually opened at the night after I watched the movie. Lego is fast- Had I ever seen this maybe 1/3 of the scene in the movie was not new to me. 🙂

Movie was not that terrible like the review score – maybe more of ground settings for any future stories – one special thing was watching Korean actor in Marvel movie.. and there were several points the director must have adopted from his past movies – I was the only one LOLing when Gilgamesh was using his palm instead of fist 🙂

뭐 마블팬은 아닌데 애들 중 한녀석+ 다른녀석의 친구가 마블 영화를 좋아해서 어쩔수 없이 최근 마블 영화는 거의 개봉주간에 영화관에서 본다..(그냥 좀 기다렸다 Disney plus로 보면 안되겠니? …ㅎㅎ)

뭐 그래도 영화관에서 일찍 보면 좋은건 쓸데없는 곳에서 스포일되지 않는것인데… 영화를 보고온 저녁 – 영화감상 몇일전에 우체통에서 집어온 레고 브로셔에 떡하니 주요장면의 대략 1/3은 보여주고 계셨다…휴…ㅋㅋ

마블 영화 역사상 최저의 평점이라고 하는 영화는 뭐 그냥 무난… 뭐 싸우는 격전의 이야기보다는 이런저런 환경 setup하는 신화의 첫부분같이 약간은 잔잔한 내용.. 우리의 “진실의 방으로”를 외치는 마형이 등장하시는 재미로 솔솔 봤다… 대충 감독이 마형이 어떤 영화에 나왔고 이미지를 가지고 있는지 그걸 소재로 하나둘 씩 써드심… 애기 분장 그리고 한국인만 할 수 있는 격전상황에서의 귀.싸.대.기 혹은 귀.방.망.이 시전…ㅋㅋㅋ (특히 귀싸대기 장면에서 빵 터졌다..ㅋㅋ)

FF: F9

우연히 받게된 영화사이트 무료관람권/쿠폰 – 무었으로 쓸까 고민하다가 FF로 결정… 신나게 (어이없게) 웃어주셨다.. 아무리 어그로가 큰 오락영화라지만 이렇게 까지? 🙂 진짜 갈아만들고 너무 줘어짠 감이 팍팍인데.. 이제 진짜 달착륙만 하면 될듯싶은데 다음편으로는 무엇이 나올까 궁금…

Now this series turned into is real fun or somewhat comedy in some sense… 🙂 make you LOL in lots of scenes – made me wonder what is next for this?

My Name

어느새 Netflix Top10을 찍어주신 또다른 한국 드리마…주말에 정주행 해주셨다..나름 빠른 속도 진행으로 지겹지 않았고, 요즘 사방에서 등에 칼꽂히는 일을 격다보니 ㅎㅎ, ‘격투는 이기는게 아니라 죽이려고 싸우는 것이다’에서 절실함이 팍팍전달해와서 몰입도도 꽤 높게 봤다

옥의 티(?)는 마지막에 구지 러브라인을 넣은게 아닐까 싶다.. 한편 무간도에 열광한 이후 이런 ‘쁘락치’ 영화 진정 재미좋다…ㅎㅎㅎ

What a great revenge action drama series it was! 🙂 Impressive actions and camera works although storyline was weird at close to the end…

La Casa De Papel aka Money Heist Season 3 Vol 1

Unfortunately, got killed by Squid Game in timing-wise but still decent series – as this is now already an old story, there were lesser ‘immersion’ However, still brilliant series to binge.

물론 오징어게임에 묻힌 감도 있고, 이제는 이미 몇번 욹어드신 사골이라 처음 때의 몰입감이 없긴 하지만 이것도 나름 훌륭한 시리즈.. 주말에 5개 애피소드 달려주셨다.

Squid Game/오징어 게임

사실 2주전 나온 첫날 1화만 보고 계속 볼지 다음에 볼지를 결정하자 했다가… 아무래도 1화를 보고 나니 좀 잔인 했지만 “이거슨 대박”이란 느낌이 몰려와서 스포일러에 괴롭함 당하느니 그냥 주욱~ 보는게 좋겠다란 생각에 하룻밤에 이것저것하며(ㅎㅎ 회사 CLV 계산 모델 만들며…) 날새고 그냥 정주행해서 다 봐버렸다.. 지금 생각해보면 그날 보길 잘했음.. 🙂

Actually I started to watch this series like 2 weeks ago when it was launched – and thought I will make a call whether to go thru every episode or not after I watch the first part. And after the first part, I thought this will be a blockbuster – hence ran thru entire series in one night while multi-tasking the CLV model for the work I was playing with- not to get spoilers on this. Which was a great decision.

Endurance

Reading a book on the subject matter I have no idea & in a foreign language is still a challenge. Hence this book took some good time to digest and also has been on and off with all the crazy workload and multiple dramas happened during this summer.

The book is about a Antarctica expedition, and gave me good ideas on how leaders should act in various situations, and, in more detail, I loved everything the author wrote in extreme detail. (This book itself should be one of the mastery piece in explaining everything in details – the situation I would write as “Who is confused” can be detailed to few paragraphs)

우연히 추천받아 읽은책 Endurance 남극 탐험대가 탐험 중 조난/난파 당하고 빙산 위에서 해류를 따라 표류하다 결국엔 비상 보트로 탈출해서 전원생존한 이야기를 낯낯이 적은 이야기.. 아쉬운건 -특히 비전공영역에 영어로 읽으니..ㅎㅎ – 그림이 별로 없다는게 아쉽다.. (있었으면 한참 쉽게 볼수 있었겠지만서도..)

뭐 결국 사소한 거지만 내용적으로는 팀을 어떻게 꾸려야하는가.. 리더는 어떤 생각을 해야하며 어떤사항을 고려해야하는거를 정말 무서울 정도로 소소하게 & 적나라하게 다 묘사했다.. 한편 이책은 무엇보다도 서술 방식이 충격으로 다가왔다.. 정말 자세한 내용을 지겹지 않을정도로 정확하게 그리고 자세히 상술하는 작문의 마법 – 특히 영어로-을 경험하게 해줬다.. (물론 내가 앞으로 이렇게 영어를 쓸수 있다는 건 아니지만 분명 디테일을 묘사할때 영향을 받을지 싶다..)
