지난 목요일 오후부터 회사 권고사항을 지키기 위해 100% WFH

사무실에서 가져온 monitor와 mini bay를 laptop에 연결해서 쓰고 있는데 (휴 이거 안가져왔으면 진짜 큰일날뻔…) 정작 문제는 단순히 일하는 장소만 바꾼게 아니라는 점이다..

사실 필치못한 사정일 때 종종 WFH을 해오긴 했지만 -대면이 필요한 meeting은 일정변경하거나 아니면 아예 meeting이 거의 없는 날 혹은 내가 주재를 해야하는 meeting이 없는 날 식으로- 이제는 그게 아니다 보니 이런저런 애로사항이 가득하다..Communication에 더 신경써야하고 (안그래도 잘못하는디..ㅎㅎ) 메일도 더 잘써야하는디…

일도 많아서 거의 밥먹고 화장실 가는 시간빼고는 Guestroom에서 일하다 자다 일어나서 일하기를 무한 반복하고 있다.. (사진의 책상옆은 바로 침대..) 이게 무신 고시원도 아니고..ㅎㅎ

About a week of 100% WFH – I am so glad that I brought the extra monitor and mini bay to home to connect to my laptop 🙂 long term WFH without extended monitor would have been a nightmare 🙂

This longer term WFH has been imposing lot of fun challenges – had to face lots of messages and emails (which would have been a direct conversation at office) and extra emphasis on communication -which is always tough..

Back to continuous “in room” working and sleeping..:)

잘타고 왔긴 했는데 실력도 없는 주제 이제는 점점 눈이 끈적하다고 투덜대는 나를 보게 된다..ㅎㅎ

Need to remind myself on the fact that I can do skiing at this close location from home is still a big privilege (with this stupid skill level 🙂 ) – and I should be thankful on this although the snows are sticky/wet.. 🙂

1/25 is extremely dangerous and everything is safe from 2/1?!

What the….

Is this ‘precaution’ because of the fact all of the kids on this class being Asian or am I thinking too far? (Come on if you were to do education business in Eastside, you gotta be mindful that 90%+ of your students are Asian..)

If I am not going too far, – shouldn’t they think about the potential ‘over thinking’ like I just did, before making a decision and sending this texts?

I am wondering whether I should respond that “I wish you don’t have any infections with this precaution and enjoy the healthy & long life and can you share me the basis you believe why Feb 1st works while 1/25 doesn’t for our safety” 😛

아이가 1주일에 한번 가는 학원에서 온 어이 없는 메세지… 애들이 다 Asian이긴한데… (Eastside에서 학원 사업하려면 당연한거지만…) 내가 오바해서 생각하는건지 – 한편 그렇다면 그걸 더 조심해서 메세지를 보내야 하는거 아닌가 싶기도 하고… ‘증말 조심해서 무병장수 하시길 기원하고 나도 건강 챙길겸 – 1/25은 위험한데 2/1이 괜찮은 이유좀 알려달라’고 답보낼까 말까 고민중..

참나… 알다가도 모를 세상…메롱스럽다..ㅎㅎ

Seattle Winter Storm 2020

Stuck at home for 2 consecutive days

This used to be always once in every other 2-3 year thing but now it is becoming more like an annual thing.

Also, I totally lost any hope on City of Bellevue – Bellevue City officials hardly clear the snows if it is not at Downtown. I would like to invite them to our neighborhood and define “passable” as they claim every primary neighborhood streets are. Maybe need to petition for separated city for South Bellevue like South Bellevue, Factoria, or Newport Hills?

Maybe one positive note is that I fully utilized last winter’s snow shovel purchase which arrived after the peak of snow storm

한 2-3년에 한번씩 오던 겨울 눈폭풍이 이젠 연례행사가 되어가고 있는듯 싶다. 이틀째 집에 갇혀서 지내는 중…-.-; 근데 시에서는 도시 중심부만 치우고 정작 눈이 많이 쌓이는 우리동네 산간지역은 신경을 전혀 써주지 않으시네… 뭐 작년에 소잃고 외양간 고치는 식으로 산 눈삽 제대로 개시해주신걸로 위안(?)을 삼는다..

Mrs. Doubtfire Musical at 5th Ave Theatre

Had a nice time at 5th Ave Theatre with Mrs. Doubtfire at the last day of 2019. -Also, surprised to learn this Seattle performance is world premiere & pre-Broadway tryout before it goes to officially to Broadway in the Spring. Oh Dear… 🙂

옛날 로빈 윌리엄스의  인생작 영화 중 하나였던 Mrs. Doubtfire. 뮤지컬로 재탄생해서 관람해주셨는데 자세히 보니 이게 이번에 Seattle에서 세계최초 & 시범 공연이란다.. (올봄 브로드웨이에서 시작할 예정)

Finally, In-N-Out in a commutable distance..

Now, finally a new In-N-Out store opened at ‘commutable’ distance from Seattle.. near Salem, Oregon.. It is keep coming north!! 🙂

Maybe I should take a day off and get a lunch at there with 9 hours of driving?!

드디어 시애틀 기준 하루에 갔다올수 있는곳에 인앤아웃이 생긴다고 동네 뉴스에서 난리..ㅎㅎ 좀만 더 올라와주시길..

언제 날잡아 휴가 내고 함 먹으러 갔다올까? ㅡ.ㅡ
